Nomination of Rose Anne McGreevy for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Rose Anne McGreevy is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rose Anne McGreevy until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:47, 26 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hallo Zaftiglet: I've done my best to expand the article and rescue it from threatened deletion, but you really need to do a bit more with it. Reliable sources - coverage in independent publications - are needed. PamD 09:43, 26 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Just a reminder: please add references to coverage of Rose's work and life in independent publications, either online or print. Read the comments in the deletion discussion, which is linked above. PamD 06:44, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Getting Rose Ann McGreevy page started edit

I am really really, really new to this environment and have already made some content entries that are being challenged. I moved all the material I have on Rose Ann McGreevy to my sandbox whilst I work out how to make entries with attribution and citation

Ongoing editing? edit

Hallo Zaftiglet

I've just been looking back at my talk page ...

I'm sorry that Rose's article didn't survive, despite the work we did on it.

But I'm sorry to see that you haven't edited anything else since. I hope the disappointment of Rose's article hasn't put you off Wikipedia editing. There must be plenty of Australian women artists who would pass the "notability" requirements but haven't yet got an article - not to mention all the other interesting topics not yet in the encyclopedia. And all the existing articles which need improvement and/or expansion. Wikipedia is an amazing international volunteer project, biased in its content towards the interests of young American males (American football, IT, bands and albums, blockbuster movies, military history, etc) because it seems they are a large number of our editors. See WP:GGTF for some views - or just edit on whatever interests you. (See my own user page for the random collection of articles I've started, with rationales: none of them have yet - touch wood - been deleted). If you need any help with particular articles, drop a message on my talk page or whizz me an email. Happy Editing in 2015! PamD 12:36, 5 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
