Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Please remember to:

  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!

January 2024 edit

Hello, I'm Jauerback. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:52, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Aasif Mandvi. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:34, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello,
Hope you are well, and thank you for your feedback. I have reviewed the pages on external links, citations and general references and believe my edits were reverted in error.
The links I added are from official, verified and safe sources. I have no personal affiliation with the sites, they are not promoting or selling anything to the reader, the information on the site that my edit is referring to is factual, there are no affiliate links, promotions, personal information, the sites are not personal blogs, and it is not temporary internet content.
I believe adding the link makes it easier for the reader to access the direct source of the information I am adding - which is relevant to the subject of the article - as evidence. I don't think the edit is major enough to warrant the creation of a separate external links section. Please advise
Thank you XZY5 (talk) 21:18, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, they weren't reverted in error. They do not belong in an encylopedia article. If you can find a reliable source that has this information, that's a possibility that along with that, the information can be added, but you may need to get a consensus before doing so. Please check the change on Aasif Mandvi's page again, and feedback. Thank you XZY5 (talk) 22:08, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, that doesn't work, so let me crystal clear: if you add it again, you will be blocked. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 01:02, 18 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
