Ling Sie Kiong

edit

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Ling Sie Kiong. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 6 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you could post the online source of information I'd be glad to help with referencing the article. - Yk (talk | contrib) 03:24, 6 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Steven Choong.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Steven Choong.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 08:01, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

December 2018

edit

  Hello. Your recent edit to List of think tanks appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Wsiau. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page List of think tanks, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 10:32, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Please stop adding redlinks to lists that are usually restricted to "notable" entries with sourced Wikipedia articles (see also WP:CSC), as already mentioned in the previous message from December 2018. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 10:37, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:Jauhar Academy of Social Sciences logo.jpg

Jauhar Academy of Social Sciences moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Jauhar Academy of Social Sciences, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Non-free content use

edit

  Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically Draft:Jauhar Academy of Social Sciences, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:27, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi Wsiau. Non-free files like File:Jauhar Academy of Social Sciences logo.jpg cannot be use in drafts per Wikipedia non-free content use criterion #9 and Wikipedia:Drafts#Preparing drafts. The file was previously removed a number of times by JJMC89 bot (this is WP:BOT checking on files operated by an administrator named JJMC89), but you re-added the file each time. It's OK if you didn't understand why the file was removed the previous times, but please don't continue to re-add the file now that you do. You can re-add/re-display the file once the draft has been approved as an article. If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask them below or at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:32, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
