editHello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Clive Lloyd—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 07:13, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
- I've also reverted a bunch of your changes as they go against the WP:MOS. Spike 'em (talk) 08:00, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
Hi Wikinadir2023! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Rangana Premaratne that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Rangana Premaratne. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason.
In particular, your edits are contrary to MOS:DATESNO and MOS:OVERLINK.

To help you work out when wikilinks are helpful and when to leave words unlinked, there is plenty of useful advice at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking.
Happy editing! Certes (talk) 14:10, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- In particular, please see WP:OVERLINK and stop linking commonly used English words such as "sound". Spike 'em (talk) 14:42, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

edit{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Girth Summit (blether) 10:25, 24 January 2023 (UTC)- Quite a few editors above were giving you advice about your editing, but you don't seem to have been listening. There are quite a few problematic things you were doing. For example, our MOS tells us to use dates like '1 January' (explicitly not with ordinals, like 1st January) - see MOS:DATE. The commas you were putting in all over the place are a stylistic choice - none of them were required, and drive-by comma adding isn't necessary or helpful. The links you have been adding were often unnecessary, and sometimes poorly chosen. I wouldn't be considering a block under normal circumstances, but you have been editing very rapidly, and have not been responding to the advice you have been given. Blocked as a sockpuppet
editNote that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
