Speedy deletion nomination of Kenny Browne

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kenny Browne, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Kenny Browne, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Hi I would like to clarify some issues re Kenny Browne. The previous issues that Kenny Browne should be deleted were false as he does indeed play under professional terms. I left a message on Kenny Browne's talk page for you going into more detail. Can you help me fix the issues of the tag of deletion please? I'm kind of inexperienced as an editor and don't know how to face these issues. I didn't remove the speedy deletion tag, another administrator removed it due to the reasons above. May I request you now remove the tag as I have already had this conversation with another administrator? thanks in advance! Sir Sputnik (talk) please see this post as I want to resolve this asap thanks.

Welcome again, and apologies...

...but I've deleted the Kenny Browne article again because he doesn't currently meet our standards for his own article. I'll try to explain a bit, but first I want you to know that deleted article can be retrieved and undeleted, so if his situation changes the article can always be restored. As I think you know, the article went through a deletion discussion, linked above, at which the opinion was unanimous that Browne did not meet the standards for inclusion. You obviously support WaterfordFC, but the consensus is that it is not a fully professional league, and therefore playing for the team does not in and of itself qualify for an article. The rule is explained here. Now, if you disagree with the outcome of the discussion, the best thing to do is to find evidence that he does qualify, and present it at deletion review. If you need help setting up such a discussion just drop a note at my talk page and I'll be happy to do so. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 16:44, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeatedly recreating deleted articles is disruptive, and may get you blocked from editing if you continue to do so. Fuck off ya sad cunt

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 19:35, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

How can I stay cool when ya keep deleting my pages. My best efforts and hours gone. Should be ashamed. I'm quitting Wikipedia cause I'm sick of people like you

Perhaps you should have put some time and effort into reading our guidelines before (re)creating an article that doesn't comply with them? WP:Your first article and WP:NFOOTY would be good places to start. —C.Fred (talk) 20:25, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

It does comply with them but you don't know what you're talking about

Okay, then. What changed with Browne since the AfD closed? What makes him now notable per NFOOTY where he wasn't before? —C.Fred (talk) 20:58, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

He has always been notable.. He's a professional footballer in a professional league. The person who nominated it for deletion didn't research properly and got his facts wrong. And the same administrators came along and deleted it anyway despite me pointing this out. I'm sick of it

So, what reliable source can we review that shows both that he is professional and the league is professional? —C.Fred (talk) 23:23, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why is it that I need to prove this? Its common knowledge. Do you ask if a Manchester United player is a professional? Do you ask if the English premier league is professional?

It is common knowledge that Man U plays in a fully professional league. If a reliable source verifies that a player plays for Man U, then NFOOTY is satisfied.
According to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football, the League of Ireland is not fully professional. Thus, unless Browne has played for a fully professional club or with the senior national team, he is not a notable football player.
So, what new evidence has emerged that shows Browne is notable? —C.Fred (talk) 23:42, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Its also common knowledge Browne plays in a full time pro set up and that should just be accepted. Your wiki project whatever is wrong

Sorry, but it is not common knowledge that he plays as a pro in a pro league, and the Wikipedia community has determined he is not notable. In the absence of new circumstances and reliable sources, he may not have an article. —C.Fred (talk) 00:22, 16 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Its common knowledge here in Ireland and Waterford. You administrators are clueless sad people.

Wikipedia is a collaborative environment. If you are unable or unwilling to behave in a civil fashion toward your fellow editors, an administrator may have to take action to prevent further disruption. —C.Fred (talk) 00:43, 16 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yeah but you never answered answerer facts I just pointed out that its common knowledge in Ireland and Waterford?
