Suicide Map

Hi! Thanks for your note! You're definitely right that Alaska and Hawaii too often get short shrift. The reason I didn't include them in the suicide maps was because the available data (for Alaska, at least) didn't seem to me to be very good. The data is aggregated by "Health Service Area," and in the case of Alaska, these are very large areas indeed.. one HSA covers almost all the state, including Anchorage, and although I'm not an expert on suicide in Alaska, I thought this gave a skewed impression.
