You have been blocked temporarily from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Request reason:

Hello, I want to appeal my blocking to Wikipedia.

I would like to say that I am currently working at SodaStream and have been asked to update, the content to make it relevant. The former imagery was not current and my manager asked me to update that information.

For the copyright of information, I can provide an email authorising the use of the SodaStream images for Wikipedia use.

I am not trying to advertise SodaStream, I am simply wanting to place in a current picture of a SodaStream product in the infobox and another in the section about the product, update the details of the company recently trading on the Tel Aviv Stock exchange.

We have no intention of spreading propaganda about the company. We are not trying to advertise! Wikipedia is an enclyopedia that is continuously updated, and the information outlined on the SodaStream wikipedia page written about SodaStream and the image contents is outdated.

I would appreciate to be able to discuss further, and to be given permission to make these changes.

Thank you.Vo147daKat (talk) 09:44, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

.

I strongly recommend you read Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest guidelines. Realistically, you are only likely to be unblocked if you agree not to edit pages about your company or product and state what else you intend to work on instead. There is no conflict of interest, I simply want to add 2 images of a SodaStream machine, and state the company is publicly traded on the Tel Aviv stock exchange. I am not going to change any other thing written about SodaStream. It is unwarranted to just assume that I will alter things to be of a conflict is interest does not have any grounding. I am simply requesting to make 3 slight adjustments and have no interest in doing anymore work on wikipedia.

Alternatively, I can provide administration with my requests, and administration can update 3 small adjustments. It is not a big deal and it shouldn't be taken in that way. I respect every users right to publish both favourable and unfavourable content about SodaStream, but outdated information shouldn't be allowed to take a precedence over updated information because one's simple reluctance to change.

Request reason:

I understand the prerogative of administration to admit the refusal of any user to be readmitted as an editor on Wikipedia. As I was refused on the grounds of not explaining why I had multiple accounts, I will state why and then explain the copyright situation and hope that an administrator will be willing to let me regain my status as an editor.

Okay, I first and foremost. I am new to wikipedia, I have no prior experience with the site. It is therefore, that I was ignorant of the fact that administration has the right to refuse and delete any user that violates any code of conduct, that I fully support.

However, as I was not aware of the guidelines surrounding the uploading of images and changing content, I have accidentally violated the copyright guidelines. I have since learnt the steps involved with donating content to wikipedia, et cetera.

I did create multiple accounts because I felt the administrator was deliberately sabotaging my work. Yes, I acknowledge that doing so is a violation of wikipedia policy, but as an experienced administrator I hope you understand, out of all the new editors for this sight, people without familiarising themselves with the code of conducts for wikipedia can unintentionally violate policy.

I won't violate these guidelines and request to be reinstated.

Decline reason:

The problem is not your lack of policy knowledge, it's your persistent violations even after being informed about relevant policies. You were warned of copyright policy yet you persisted so we had no option other than to block you. Then you created another account and continued doing the same stuff that got you blocked. When we block such accounts, the block mesage mentions explicitly that this is not permitted, along with links to relevant policies. Your creation of more accounts after that is just another indication that you don't care about the rules, you're not here to build an encyclopedia, just promote your employer.
