Some thoughts

edit

Saw your post on the Tea House, and thought I might better respond here. Wikipedia does have rude, condescending people. Wikipedia also has incredibly professional and helpful people. Like the rest of the world, it's a mix. One of the problems is actually people who mean well, but focus on "protecting" the encyclopedia above all else. This can lead to biting newcomers, and impatience with those who don't quite understand all the (500+) rules. There are all sorts here. It may help for you to try to remember that even those who sound condescending or rude are often just trying to prevfent harm to Wikipedia, and have lost sight of the fact that they might be hurting those who are here to help.

As a side note, I also saw the first response said your uName was too aggressive. Hah. Check out mine! Or User:NuclearWarfare or User:GorillaWarfare. We have a lot of more violent and weird names than yours. So no worries. Just keep reading, editing, and eventually the naysayers will fade into a quiet background, ignorable and irrelevant. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page if you ever want to vent or ask advice. I will help if I can; I will commiserate, and if nothing else you'll get it off your chest.
