Super speed edit

G'day Veldin963, I see from your message on my talk page that you are upset I tagged your article with some maintenance tags. Please don't be annoyed that I did this as my doing so actually helps alert other editors that your article is in need of some expert assistance. For example your article is not categorized. I put a tag on it to show that it needed to be placed in categories but you removed the tag? I've replaced the tag as it shows the article up on a page with all other articles lacking categories for this month. That way people can offer their help to you. The same goes for the other maintenance tags as well. You also say that I marked your article too soon? I do "new page" patrols. So any new page put up can be checked out by me or other editors and tagged with appropriate maintenance tags or in worse case scenarios tagged with requests for speedy deletion. I suggest than when you create a new page do the utmost in your first edit to ensure the article will get by the new page patrol. If the article is sub-standard or lacking in any way. Editors have every right to mark them with the appropriate tags. I do in fact help out on many of the new articles I find when it is obvious that new editors have lacked the initial ability to make an article pass initial inspection. I add categories and try and have a few Internal links to make the article more presentable. I'm not familiar with the topic "Super speed" otherwise I may have been able to help with categories etc. Keep working on it to see if you can improve it. I hope you enjoy your time editing on Wikipedia. I know I do :-) Sting_au Talk 10:53, 1 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Canon EOS Rebel T1i.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Canon EOS Rebel T1i.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:Die Hard poster HD.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Die Hard poster HD.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:20, 20 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILY (TALK) 04:20, 20 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's been a while, but, edit

Sting au, I have not signed into my account in quite a while (a few years, actually) but I would like to thank you for the information you have given me on my talk page. It is accurate, well-organized, and you wrote your response to me in a friendly manner, which is the reason I read the information you gave me and learned from it. Thank you for not being like many others I encounter on this website who are quick to respond with hate. I will post this response to your talk page as well, as you likely will not see this here. And Fastily, thank you for the response on the image I uploaded. Yes, I realize the image did not have the proper copyright information listed, but another user listed the correct information, and also transferred the image to the Commons for me, which was very much appreciated. Thank you again for your help, and I will post this to your talk page as well since you probably won't see my response here. Veldin963 (talk) 18:39, 14 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Veldin963, edit

By North American standards, please do not change the thumbnail viewing size of a basic image to anything above or below 300 pixels. Thank you. KevinIrwin (talk) 01:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

Haddon Township High School edit

The consensus of the discussion that was held on WP:AN/I recently was that 265px was a good size for the infobox image on this article. it is large enough to be seen well, but not so large as to overwhelm the page. Please be respectful of this decision and do not edit war to make the image larger than 265px. Doing so may get you blocked again, and blocks generally escalate in length. Thanks, Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:48, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of two weeks for Disruptive editing, specifically continuing the truly lame edit warring that got you blocked before ... you know, the edit warring you continued with your sock puppet?. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
