Bob Dylan performing Two Sisters

You asked for a citation that Dylan performed this song on The Twa Sisters page. You can find this on the The Genuine bootleg Series volume 2 (track 1). There are plenty of sources for this, for example Shopcart.com. I'm not sure how you can place a citation for this sort of thing - perhaps you would be so good as to do this for me. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Laetoli (talkcontribs) 19:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, then - here is another source (answers.com): The Genuine Bootleg Series, Take 2. Alternatively, you can go to the first link that I gave you and actually listen to a very poor quality stream of the song by clicking the CD symbol next to the track. If you're still not satisfied, you might try a Google search on this: "The Two Sisters dylan bootleg" - that gave me "about 15,700" results according to their bot. Otherwise, just delete what I said on the Wiki article - it's just not important enough to fight about any more. Laetoli (talk) 22:22, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

1753 in music

Hi, Twas Now! Thanks for your recent edits to 1753 in music. I just wanted to encourage you to: yes, do please link to works, if an article on the work exists on Wikipedia. I myself follow the standard that you noticed, of not linking to the work if the result will be a redlink, but I have also occasionally seen some editors keep links to works that result in redlinks as well. I would have gone ahead and restored your earlier edit with the link to Der Krumme Teufel, but I thought you might appreciate the pleasure of doing that yourself :) Cheers, Lini (talk) 12:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

The Selfish Gene

Thanks, that's much clearer. I guessed this was what it was getting at, but was worried that maybe I was missing some subtle biological meaning. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 22:38, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I know Auden wrote libretti . . .

Hello. The reason I removed the opera project banner was because (1) we are trying to avoid aggressive bannering which many people don't like, and (2) participants in the opera project (like myself) are unlikely to contribute significantly to his article. BBF3

Okay fair enough. While the non-acronym version wins the google hit count, I can't seem to find as many reliable sources that specify it's "Blaise Bailey Finnegan III" rather than "BBF3" so feel free to revert if you want. Still, I'd like it if it's mentioned somewhere on the page that the album doesn't have song titles on it as you mentioned and that some people have been known to call it Blaise Bailey Finnegan III, but that it's official name is BBF3. To be honest, this song deserves it's own article, it seems to have an interesting history. Anyway, happy editing! Deamon138 (talk) 06:09, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Cool that seems fair. Thanks. Deamon138 (talk) 06:33, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

I Is for Insignificant

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of I Is for Insignificant, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1475617/a/I+Is+For+Insignificant.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Titus Andronicus (band)

As I explained on the article's Talk page, references to record reviews are not references one can write an article about the band from. Corvus cornixtalk 21:10, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

None of the sources is reliable. Corvus cornixtalk 21:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Except for the allmusic article, which is not peer-reviewed, the record reviews are personal opinion, as if written by a blogger, or else the band's own website. Read WP:RS. Corvus cornixtalk 21:31, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
An interview with the band is an original source, and therefore not an acceptable source. Corvus cornixtalk 21:50, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Rollback granted

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Mewithout You

As a name it is correctly capitalised no matter where it is in a sentence. Correct English usage is given preference over how a band trademarks their name. Cheers Nouse4aname (talk) 15:02, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding your recent article move...

A tag has been placed on Homosexual bheavior in animals, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Sorry to template you, but it's just a lot easier than trying to type that all out myself. I know it was probably just an accident when you moved the article to this name, but I thought it would be best to be on the safe side and notify you of the speedy tag I placed on the page anyway. —MearsMan talk 16:28, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Twas Now/Archive 4, I wish to say thanks for your support in my successful request for adminship, which ended with 82 supports, 3 opposes, and 1 neutral. I will do my best to live up to your expectations. I would especially like to thank Rlevse for nominating me and Wizardman for co-nominating me.

Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal/Kpalion

Hi Twas Now, I'm glad you liked my redesign proposal. I think it's practically finished now. Not that it couldn't be improved, but it's probably as good as I was able get it on my own. I will appreciate any other comments and if you'd like correcting something yourself, feel free to do so. — Kpalion(talk) 18:33, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Heyati

Considering the article's edit history, and the editors who have edited it, I'm concerned Heyati is really an attack page. I've asked for input on the Reference Desk Language page, for somebody who speaks Arabic. Corvus cornixtalk 07:50, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Db-move

Bad faith I think that changing the {{db-move}} without also moving my {{hangon}} is bad faith. If you want to post to talk, we can have a conversation, but if you keep on deleting my tags and moving to different redirects, we can't. —Justin (koavf)TCM

You need to slow down "I'm not sure why you moved it to include a capital "The" to begin with, though," which is exactly what I posted on Talk:Meet the Eels: Essential Eels, Vol. 1 (1996–2006). Also, you should re-read what I wrote above, because I never alleged that you "keep on deleting," all I wrote was that if you keep on deleting them, then we cannot have a conversation, which is obviously true. You should read what I write and then you won't have to make posts like this on my talk. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 01:14, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Evident? "[I]t was evident that I was not going to move anything after the correction." No, it wasn't; I had no idea what you were doing and I don't know you from Adam. I took it on good faith that your move was genuine, but when you removed {{hangon}}, I didn't know if that was template vandalism, a simple oversight, or something else. That's why I posted on your talk. I did not require or request you to post anything on my talk and I honestly don't know what you're trying to say about that. If you're talking about discussion prior to moving, I figured all of that could be done on the talk pages of the articles. When you didn't respond to that post and instead moved {{db-move}} and didn't also move {{hangon}}, what was I supposed to think? —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 01:51, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
