Ahnentafeln

edit

Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for taking such a keen interest in the project and for reaching out to discuss. There is nothing inherently wrong with ahnentafeln, but there should be a good reason for the inclusion of any content, ahnentafeln included. A discussion at Template talk:Ahnentafel has shown that this template crept into thousands of articles throughout the years simply because editors saw it used elsewhere. This format is extremely rarely used in academic biographies and reference works, which instead feature charts such as the one in Lady Jane Grey#Family tree. Please let me know if you need more information. Surtsicna (talk) 17:09, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
