Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Thomson Medical Group

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Thomson Medical Group, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". While I have received your email, there is no reason that the matter you raised needs to be discussed off-wiki. If you would like to discuss the matter in question, please either contact me on my talk page, or reply here (I will have the page on watch so I will see your response). thanks. We didn't even realise that that is off wiki. As this is the first time we are using wiki, we are unfamiliar and there is too much information and walls of text for us to absorb at this moment. With reference to our earlier email, appreciate your response and advice please. We will also be making edits to the current Thomson Medical Centre page on wiki which has outdated and erroneous information not written by the organisation themselves. Appreciate your time. Thank You. Thomsonmed339 (talk) 15:11, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, you will not. Since you have a conflict of interest with this subject, you will make suggestions on the talk page, and use {{request edit}} to request that a non-COI editor review it. If you directly edit the article to reflect your company's viewpoint, you will be blocked from editing altogether. The article will reflect the reliable and independent sources available about the subject, not stuff you produce yourself. We are interested in what sources unaffiliated with your company say about it, not what your company says about itself. An article on Wikipedia is not your company's "official" webpage; that is, well, your company's official webpage on its own site. You do not own it and will not be permitted to dictate what it says. noted. Anyway, it is not a viewpoint that we are putting across. Many of the sources u guys quoted contain errors and inaccuracies or simply outdated. If there a way to request for the deletion of a page then? Thanks Thomsonmed339 (talk) 15:27, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
"u" is not a word; I think you were looking for "you". If you think sources used in the article do not meet the definition for reliability, you may raise that in any edit requests you put forth. If they do, but you believe they have made an error, you will need to contact them regarding publishing corrections. If you just don't like what they had to say, but it is factually accurate, well, tough. I don't suspect the article would be deleted as the subject does seem to be notable, but if you really think it ought to be deleted, you may request that via articles for deletion. noted. Thank you. "u" simply means "you". In Asia, we often use short forms of the word. You don't necessarily have to spell them out in full; most of us don't anyway. In any case, thank you for your time. Thomsonmed339 (talk) 15:37, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
