We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Kottayam. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Your repeated addition of unsourced, flowery cruft to this article is becoming disruptive. You are are treating Wikipedia as a tourist guide in order to promote the place- please desist. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. You have been told what has been wrong with your edits. You seem to think Wikipedia is here to help you promote your hometown. It is NOT. Any additions must be Encyclopaedic and well sourced; your own knowledge / opinion / upbringing is completely irrelevant. Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity.
