Reply re; user page

edit
Thanks for your note. Sorry, but user pages all have "user" in the page name to distinguish them from articles and other types of pages. This looks like an article. To be included as an article, the subject would need to meet inclusion requirements. If this is a story you are writing, then an article would not be appropriate. That a google search only reveals one hit, about your user account, suggests the subject is not notable enough for an article. If you are building a page to work on or promote a story your are writing, then Myspace Or Yahoo would be a more appropriate venue. Wikipedia:User_page is the guideline that explains the purpose and uses for a userpage. Sorry, I can't be more helpful. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 15:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism

edit

Hi have vandal warned the two most recent vandals. If this continues to be a problem, you might want to report it at at WP:AN/I . Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 15:17, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The article and vandalism

edit

HI, sorry there is little I can do. I do not see that you took the steps I recommended. I can not protect your page or block the vandals-- I am not an admin.

I will request the page be protected by an admin. Sorry, there is not much I can do.

Hate to rain on your parade, but it would not be appropriate to have an article about an unwritten book. Articles about books need to meet notability requirements. This is why the original article was deleted. Please read WP:BOOK to learn more about such requirements. Please note that you appear to be using your userpage for self-promotion and/or as a personal webpage. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Such use is not appropriate.

In reviewing your edits, I see you have added a self-promotional link in Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys. This link has been removed as Wikipedia is not a vehicle for promoting books.

A certain amount of leeway is granted users on their user pages. You might wish to read Wikipedia:User page. The community may at some point take exception to your user page contents, as it appears to be beyond the scope of Wikipedia:User page. If you wish to promote your book or create a forum for its discussion, you might want to create a personal webpage on a commercial website. Sorry, I can't be more helpful. A tag has been placed on Jasper Cooper, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
