Tilera

edit

A tag has been placed on Tilera, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ensuring Lawful Interrogations

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ensuring Lawful Interrogations, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://washingtonindependent.com/26836/executive-order-ensuring-lawful-interrogations. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Proposed deletion of Ensuring Lawful Interrogations

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ensuring Lawful Interrogations, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Simple regurgitation of an executive order: unencyclopedic

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The text of an executive order goes in Wikisource. Here, if the order is notable, you write an article about the order, its background, its sigificance, etc. You do not create placeholders with just an external link.

When you post an order to Wikisource, make sure that you do not have lines starting with a space character. This causes the line to be rendered as <pre> text and gives terrible page widening. When you created this page, did you not notice an horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window? Did you wonder whether horizontal scrolling was needed? — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:42, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to User:MONGO. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want. Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Thanatos465

Hi Thanatos465. I noticed you created an RfA page some time ago. I was wondering as to what the status of that RfA might be. I think it's fair to warn you that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets very high standards for editors running for adminship. Please let me know if you still intend to run for adminship with that RfA; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete it for you in about a week or so from today. Girl gamer

edit

I notice you put a delete tag on Girl gamer. You must give a reason if it is not totally obvious to an administrator. There are a set of templates like db-bio or db-copyvio see Wikipedia:Speedy_deletion_templates for the list. Adding these tags for no reason is counted as disruption, so please be careful. Speedy delete can only be used according to particular predefined and non controversial reasons. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:46, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nintendo 3DS

edit

The article Nintendo 3DS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Speculative and fails WP:CRYSTAL

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Codf1977 (talk) 16:37, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:XboxWallpaper 1280x1024 0008 .com 11.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:XboxWallpaper 1280x1024 0008 .com 11.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:54, 15 June 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:54, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:XboxWallpaper_1280x1024_0008_.com_11.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:XboxWallpaper_1280x1024_0008_.com_11.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:54, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:XboxWallpaper 1280x1024 0008 .com 11.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:XboxWallpaper 1280x1024 0008 .com 11.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:55, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:KatNude1.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:KatNude1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
