Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Puntius viridis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Barb. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

More reverted.

edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your bold move of Perch has been reverted because an editor has found it to be controversial. Per Wikipedia:Requested moves, a move request must be placed on the article's talk page, and the request be open for discussion for seven days, "if there is any reason to believe a move would be contested". If you believe that this move is appropriate, please initiate such a discussion. Please note that moving a page with a longstanding title and/or a large number of incoming links is more likely to be considered controversial, and may be contested. bd2412 T 12:15, 8 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reassessing good articles

edit

Hey SuperPayara123. I reverted your edits to Talk:Oscar (fish) (& the associated GA list). Unlike the majority of assessment levels (B, C, Start, etc.), good articles and featured articles have a specific process for promotion and reassessment. If you feel that Oscar (fish) is no longer up to the good article criteria you can reassess it via that process. Basically this involved making an argument as to why you feel it no longer meets the criteria and other editors will work to correct those deficiencies or agree with you and after a period of time the article will be reassessed. Removing references from articles

edit

Hello SuperPayara123.

Welcome to Wikipedia. In looking over your contribution history, I have noticed that a large number of your edits have been to remove references from articles. Please carefully read Wikipedia:Citing sources and understand that some references can be listed as footnotes in articles. Not all editors are familiar and comfortable with the syntax of inline citations, and listing the source of the material at the bottom of the article is an acceptable alternative. When you go through the articles and remove the references, you are creating a great deal of work for other editors to clean up after you. I have started going through and reverting your changes, but there is just too much to deal with. So when and if you return from your stated wikibreak, please help us out and restore those changes! If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Neil916 (Talk) 17:22, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Kkj11210. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Danio interrupta without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! WikiProject Fishes

edit

Hi SuperPayara. I'm sorry you are feeling discouraged, perhaps because of this thread on WikiProject Fishes. Sometimes Wikipedia can be a lonely place, and it is easy to feel unappreciated. I want you to know that I appreciate the articles you have written. You have made an excellent and professional start. When other editors comment on your work, as they did in the thread I just mentioned, you should feel free to reply and say exactly what you think (in a polite way of course). I don't think anyone is really criticising your work. It's just there is some confusion about why you are removing FishBase links. You need to leave a note in the edit summary or on the talk page of the article when you remove otherwise reliable sources like FishBase. That will stop the rest of us being confused. I hope your enthusiasm for editing has not been damaged, and you will, when you feel ready, rejoin WikiProject Fishes (which needs you!). Best regards :) --Epipelagic (talk) 03:57, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Likewise from me. I've appreciated your aquarium-related work very much. Please feel free to contact me at my user talk if you'd like to discuss anything. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:27, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
