Jehu Eyre

edit

Very interested in your work on the Revolutionary War. The Eyres are a fascinating subject, all the more so because they're not all that well-known (which, given the amount that they did for the Revolution, is to me a historical injustice). What do you think of what happened to them (or, rather, their descendants)? Tragic heroes in every sense of the term.

SwedishConqueror 23:49, 24 January 2007 (UTC)SwedishConquerorReply

Really! See, I had heard vaguely of something like that but never knew that anyone else might know of it. Do you actually put any stock in the Mojave legend? It almost seems like something out of a movie. The Eyres certainly had extraordinarily bad luck beginning around 1870 or so, but I don't know that I would ascribe it to a curse on them. That story is so little-known, I can't believe you're acquainted with it.

I can't even recall all of the details of that old tale (and it is old), but it's certainly an interesting theory.

Notability of Harrison Ambrosio

edit

A tag has been placed on Harrison Ambrosio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 01:18, 18 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Notability of Heford Harrington High

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. AfD nomination of Heford, New Hampshire

edit

An editor has nominated Heford, New Hampshire, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Heford, New Hampshire and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Unspecified source for Image:US_map-Northeast1.PNG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:US_map-Northeast1.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:57, 1 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 22:57, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
