Proposed deletion of Lily Klee edit

The article Lily Klee has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Beside being the wife of Paul Klee no signs of sufficient notability, not per WP:NMUSIC and not per WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Women in Red edit

Hi there, Snowviola, and welcome to Women in Red. You've already made an impressive start with your articles on the Tram Museum and Lisa Taylor. In connection with Lily Klee, you should find it useful to look through our Primer for creating women's biographies. It's good to see you are interested in translating articles from German but you may find that in some cases acceptance on the English version of Wikipedia is more difficult than on the German version. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:43, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Ipigott:Thank you so much for the info about upcoming events! I did not know that the notability standards varied across Wikis, I thought if someone had been deemed notable in another language, it was ok to create an article! To make sure I'm understanding, if a person is included in the lists of red-links on Women in Red, it does not necessarily mean they have already been checked for notability. Snowviola (talk) 17:41, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Many of them are of course notable but many are not. You always need to check that they are covered by at least three good secondary sources. The EN wiki is particularly demanding. Let me know if you run into any difficulties.--Ipigott (talk) 20:22, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Additional expansions of Lily Klee edit

Hi Snowviola, I just remembered Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lily Klee from April and your (admittedly non-binding) commitment to make further improvements to the article in question. It's been a few months now, and nothing of the sort has happened yet, so I'm curious as to whether that's still something that's on your radar, especially since you haven't really edited at all since then. Obviously, there's WP:NODEADLINE and I'm really sorry for badgering, but I think it would just be a shame if any additional potential that article might have remained unrealized. AngryHarpytalk 09:10, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey AngryHarpy! A friend and I did work to add as many sources as we could after I said that, and then life got very busy! Back then, I also reached out to one of the researchers mentioned on https://www.arthistoricum.net/en/subjects/editions/klee, to see if they might know more about where to find scholarly sources about Lily, but they have yet to reply. As that website states, "Lily Klee’s significance for her husband has largely been underestimated or even outright ignored in scholarly literature.", so there aren't many sources to find, except the primary ones those researchers have access to. That site says "The entire collection is being edited and researched as part of a larger project on the letters and photographs of Lily Klee.", so maybe once that scholarly research is available, I can return and add more. Thanks for checking in! Snowviola (talk) 21:55, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Four Samosas (film)

Four samosas is a 2022 indie action, comedy, and romance film set in the “Little India” neighborhood of Artesia, California. [1]Shot in the style of Wes Anderson, the film follows a group of friends who plan a diamond heist to make their dreams come true. It was written and directed by Ravi Kapoor, and its ensemble cast includes Venk Potula, Sonal Shah, Sharmita Bhattacharya, Nirvan Patnaik, Karan Soni, Summer Bishil, and Meera Simhan. [2]

Four Samosas premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Festival,[3], where it was nominated for best U.S. Narrative feature. [4]and was released in theaters and on demand in December 2022.[5]

Plot edit

The movie opens with four obviously disguised thieves running out of a store, Juneja's Cash & Carry, in slow motion. Yellow text displays on the screen "Four Samoas....and the ill-advised grocery store heist."

Then it jumps to "a few days earlier", where Vinny is working with customers in a Sari shop, and sharing his rhymes with his coworker.

Vinny, Anjani, and Zak meet at the Chaat house, where Zak works. Zak shares the news that Rina, Vinny's ex-girlfriend is now engaged. Then Vinny finds out that it's Sanjay, the goat-dung-repurposer, is Rina's husband-to-be. He confronts Rina in her salon before storming out.

Nikki is preparing a performance for the Little India Cultural Night, and asks Vinny for advice. Vinny decides he needs to "get a life." Vinny explains his plan to Zak: steal from Rina's wealthy father in order to "reappropriate the wealth." This would allow him to send money to his ailing aunts, his friend Zak could go live his Bollywood dreams and become an actor. Anjali overhears and joins the plan as a chance to hangout with her crush, Zak.

The diamonds are in a safe in Mr. Juneja's office in the Cash and Carry. Anjali does reconnaissance by tricking Mr. Juneja into interviewing about his successful business for her newspaper. Meanwhile, Zak puts on a song and dance show by the checkouts. With Mr. Juneja distracted, Anjali is left alone in the office with the safe.

They seek the help of Paru, a former engineer who studied at IIT, for her help cracking the safe's combination lock. In order to borrow tools, the crew enters into a series of contests with local activists including a dance off, Ladoo eating contest, oral arguments, and rap battle. They get the tools and agree to steal the diamonds the following day. Vinny seeks a blessing from his father in advance of the heist, hoping to be told not to do it.

Once in disguise, the four enter the Cash & Carry before it closes. They spend hours trying to open the safe with various tools but with no luck. Then Vinny tries Rina's birthday as the combination, and it opens. They make it out of the store with diamonds and celebrate at Vinny's.

Rina stops by the Sari shop and accuses Vinny of stealing the diamonds. The crews decides they could sell the diamonds back to Mr. Juneja. They call and arrange a meetup, asking for $40,000.

Anjali, dressed as an old man goes to exchange with Mr. Juneja on the baseball field. Chaos ensues as they discover it was fake cash, and Vinny didn't even bring the real diamonds. Zak is taken away by Mr. Juneja and his future son-in-law and questioned in the grocery store.

They go back to Vinny's to get the diamonds and return them to Mr. Juneja but Vinny's mom has used them for King Ashoka’s prop crown. Sanjay steals it back, and returns the diamonds to Mr. Juneja.

They all realize they don't need the money they would've gotten from selling the diamonds, and Vinny bursts out that it really always about Rina.

Vinny and cousin Nikki decide to make a crew for their performance in the Little India cultural show.
