Deletion of MRT breakdown sections

I presume you're upset by the deletion of the SMRT breakdown article (which I myself opposed), but funnelling your anger into deleting everything about the breakdowns is completely counterproductive -- and doing so as "minor" edits is borderline vandalism. So please take a deep breath and chill out. Jpatokal (talk) 06:20, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Citation

I noticed your effort to include citation sources but that's not how it works. Whatever that is referenced has to be found in the article being sourced from. It's not just copy and pasting. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 08:59, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

By citing sources for Wikipedia content, you enable other editors and readers to verify that the information given is supported by reliable sources. By copying and pasting any random link that has no bearing to the information is not helpful at all. Also none of the sources state the specifics of dates of in service. Wikipedia is not a fan site for train fans, it's an encyclopaedia. I see that you are still a student, learning how to cite sources is very important as you progress into higher education. So please read up WP:REF. Remember that Wikipedia is a volunteer community, and does not require the Wikipedians to give any more time and effort than they wish. Contributions matter but it's quality over quantity. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 13:25, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 14

Hi. When you recently edited Mass Rapid Transit (Singapore), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages North South Line and East West Line (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Kadaloor LRT Station, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. September 2012

Hi, thank you very much for sharing your thoughts with me. But according to the Chinese Newspaper Lianhe Zaobao on 30 August 2012, it was stated that "LTA should start the construction by 4th quarter of 2013, beginning with Stage 1 of the Thomson Line between Woodlands North to Woodlands South." Is it alright if you can add me on facebook so that we can discuss more on that and trying to think of ways to make it more constructive? That would be my recommendations to you for now. :)

Marine Life Park

Yes. The external link is already in the infobox. This is true of virtually every zoo, article that has an infobox. My understanding is that the infobox is a quick reference to information in the article, and much (if not all) of its content should also be present in the article. I don't want to get into an edit war, but I would like some clarification if we are going to make changes across the many articles for which this is true. Thank you.   It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. My edits all undone by you

Twice I attempted improvements to Singapore public transportation articles, twice you undo everything.

For today's edits, I really suggest you keep my version. It appears that some bot has mass replaced links to MRT stations, such that "Tampines MRT Station" becomes "Tampines". But sometimes this change makes statements make no sense. I see nonsense statements like, "Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange ... is located below Woodlands." So, please change back lah!

Just a note

Hey Sni, why do you like to spend your time reverting all the edits made to MRT articles by some fellow good-faith Singaporeans? I notice that all those that you revert are all registered to Singtel, so it should most likely be the same person. Perhaps, you should include an edit summary regarding your reverts, to avoid puzzling people. Arctic Kangaroo 02:48, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

(Stumbled by) IF they are good faith edits, I highly recommend that you click on the "Rollback (AGF)" button rather than the plain "Rollback" button. That is, if you use Twinkle. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 13:08, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

About Girls' Generation discography

Please STOP reverting my edit. I was instructed to change "allkpop" to "Allkpop". See WP:CS1#Titles and chapters "Wikipedia does not attempt to emulate any stylistic "flourish" used in the title in its original publication, such as ALL-CAPS, all-lower-case, Small Caps, etc.; just use plain text." Also, the website belongs to "6Theory Media, LLC", it says so on the bottom of the page. I appreciate what you're trying to do, but continuously reverting it doesn't help. Thank you.Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 05:06, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

See WP:CS1#Work and publisher, "Capitalize for reading clarity, and omit "www.", e.g. convert "www.veterinaryresourcesuk.com" to "VeterinaryResourcesUK.com"." Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 05:28, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
See also almost any Billboard ref, Prometheus Global Media is also added under publisher. This is because Billboard (magazine) is owned by that group in the same manner that Allkpop.com is owned by 6Theory Media. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:37, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Edit SBS Transit

Why are you reverting my edit? I have reliable sources to back up the information. In addition the information about non-air conditioner bus was there a few months ago. I am a bus enthusiast and go ask SBS transit if you do not trust me.

Roberttoo (talk) 09:35, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

There are more than 3,000 buses if you can calculate all of them, The website is partially outdated; the number doesn't include the latest fleets and new and BSEP services. [3] Sni56996 (talk) 01:55, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

The information on selected buses having a lifespan extension to 19 years is true and SBS still has non air conditioner bus services. Why can't i put that information? Roberttoo (talk) 09:56, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

FYI, that newspaper article is not reliable. Sni56996 (talk) 01:59, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

But having non-air conditioned bus service is true, go to their website or call the SBS hotline if you don't trust me.

Roberttoo (talk) 09:56, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

For the non-air conditioned buses, I'm fine with that. Also, sorry for anything else that I have done. Sni56996 (talk) 04:11, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Edit war on 2013 Girls' Generation World Tour - Girls & Peace

Hello. You appear to be involved in an edit war on 2013 Girls' Generation World Tour - Girls & Peace .

While the three-revert rule is hard and fast, please be aware that you can be blocked for edit warring without making 3 reverts to an article in 24 hours. You are not entitled to 3 reverts and edit wars may be slow-moving, spanning weeks or months. Edit wars are not limited to 24 hours.

If you are unclear how to resolve a content dispute, please see dispute resolution. You are expected to cooperatively engage other editors on talk pages rather than reverting their edits. Note that posting your thoughts on the talk page alone is not a license to continue reverting. You must reach consensus.

If you feel your edits might qualify as one of the small list of exceptions, please apply them with caution and ensure that anyone looking at your edits will come to the same conclusion. If you are uncertain, seek clarification before continuing. Quite a few editors have found themselves blocked for misunderstanding and/or misapplying these exceptions. Often times, requesting page protection or a sockppuppet investigation is a much better course of action.

Continued edit warring on 2013 Girls' Generation World Tour - Girls & Peace or any other article may cause you to be blocked without further notice. Toddst1 (talk) 16:01, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Edit war? Misconception here. All I see by IP address users given are mostly incorrect because of no valid sources given, unexplained removal of sourced information and etc. Requesting page protection is already done before and same thing happened subsequently after page protection expires.
Yes, I admit I have mostly did not include any summary of my actions but if only Twinkle features (which is now somehow disabled for me for that page only) is working, then its easier for me to provide any explanations of my doings. And also did not warn or notify users of their actions which I disagree with.
But at the same time, I should thank you for the reminder you have given. Cheers. Sni56996 (talk) 17:29, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Since you removed of Bus Service Numbers in Interchange/Terminal pages of Singapore, so do other languages pages also should be removed or not? --Gemsdare (talk) 10:25, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

If other guidelines and policies on other languages Wikis are exactly the same as English Wikipedia, then it should be removed. But I highly suggest that it should be removed. Sni56996 (talk) 11:13, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Parkway Parade

I'm responding to you here because you called me out by name in an edit summary.

  1. It is impolite to call out editors in edit summaries. See WP:Edit summaries. Discussion should take place in Talk, whether it is article talk, or user talk, not edit summaries.
  2. In case you wonder, I did not call you out by name, but noted the problem: unexplained edit summary. That's it. No insult, no attack, no degradation. Get it?
  3. WP:N(E) has nothing to do with the acceptability of article contents, it has only to do with the notability required to have an article at all. You should know this by now.
  4. Contents of articles should be verifiable, and relevant. If you think the re-added content is WP:TRIVIA, say that. In my opinion, the re-added content is relevant to the reader's understanding of the shopping center.
  5. Minor goofs like including an image twice are politely, and uncontroversially fixed. We watch out for each other in the interest of improving an article. We don't attack each other.

--Lexein (talk) 08:09, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for my edit summary and anything else. Yes, I somehow did used the wrong policy ....
But according to Wikipedia:WikiProject Shopping Centers/Anchors and tenants,

Wikipedia is not a directory, and for that reason we should avoid including tenant lists (including lists of the largest tenants) in shopping center articles (except in the circumstances described below). Tenants include retail stores, restaurants and other services (such as cinemas). It is appropriate, however, to include a link to the center’s website (if one exists) under the “External links” heading, where readers can refer to the store directory.

So the removal of the list of tenants is still acceptable. Sni56996 (talk) 10:54, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Ok, that essay (without the force of policy or guideline) does not seem to match the current operational consensus of tenant lists in mall articles. Most of them seem to have such a list. This essay seems, therefore, to be an opinion, not implemented in practice. I could just as easily write an essay stating that "all mall articles must list all tenants", but I won't because I don't agree with that. Hm. Interestingly, the essay was 'kept' at MfD; one keep argument cited its "lack of being cited in discussions ". I'm torn. This short article looks quite ridiculous without the list as of this writing: quite visually imbalanced. As prose is added, then I'll gradually agree that the list can go, without complaint.
So: why do you insist on deleting the mention of the (unnamed) medical center? That seems rather unique. --Lexein (talk) 12:46, 5 November 2013 (UTC)
