Man of the Match

edit

Please stop adding this information to the 2006 FIFA World Cup article; it is subjective, regional information with no encyclopedic value. It has been discussed on the article's talk page, and consensus is to keep this out of the article. If there's a reason you think this should be added, discuss it on the talk page first; other attempts to add it will otherwise be reverted. Mindmatrix 01:04, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The point of Wikipedia is to come to consensus about issues on the article's talk page. The information you're adding is, as I've said, very subjective, and done for sponsorship purposes only. Many country have their own version; which one do we use? Aside from that, I've also mentioned that this isn't encyclopedic, but my opinion is irrelevant; only community consensus counts. Please discuss this on the article's talk page if you want to introduce this information. Mindmatrix 01:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
OK - I also saw your entry on the article talk page. I'll try to leave a response tomorrow when I get back to Wikipedia, but I'm sure others will add their opinion in the meantime. Mindmatrix 02:01, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Blinded-final.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Blinded-final.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:21, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Blinded DVD Cover.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Blinded DVD Cover.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:13, 19 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
