I do not find your explanation of reliable sources satisfactory. For example, reliable sources do not need to be unbiased. (everything has biases, even Wikipedia, which does not claim to be free of bias) You described what type of edit you would make, but did not give a specific example(I want to edit X Article to say "what I want to add" and source it to Z Source). You're just about there with BLP, but not with reliable sources. What makes a reliable source credible? Please review WP:RS again. For me, a reliable source is something that is credible and has strong evidences to backup a specific statement and/articles. It should be authentic, accurate, and unbiased. Also, it must be something that will state facts and should come from a legitimate publisher and/or a trusted reference.
An example of a properly sourced edit that I want to make should connect and make sure that it observes the description of "reliable source" as I stated above. I believe that these qualities goes to sourcing an article properly.
When it comes to BLP (Biography of Living Person's Policy), it should be done carefully. PERSONAL opinions and grudges towards a person should NOT be included. Writers must be cautious to make sure that all of the information (content) provides are reliable. The writer should be IN BETWEEN (neutral), no favoritism and no unfair treatment with the biography you're editing.

Hi Shawntheshipper! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Miss Philippines Earth 2012 that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism.
