Dear Sir / Madam, Thanks for your message. Did a human review the submission (or was it automated)?

I'm rather surprised (but also, unfortunately, not that surprised) that the first professor of petroleum engineering in all of Africa would fail to meet the inclusion criteria despite the objective detailing and extensive referencing throughout the article.

To be clear, the erasure of erasure of black academics' contributions to society is a problem that extends way beyond Wikipedia. But nevertheless, notable figures of African origin deserve much better representation on this platform. Full stop.

In the spirit of being constructive, I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can provide to advance the submission. The importance of this article goes far beyond the people on this message chain.

While there are bots at Wikipedia that automate the more trivial editing tasks, all drafts are reviewed by fellow editors. Your draft and sandbox content has been deleted, but that is because at least two actual people reviewed the content and found it to be blatantly promotional. This is not a decision whether your article's subject merits inclusion at Wikipedia; it is solely a decision that the draft you wrote was blatantly promotional to the point of meriting deletion. If you would like to try writing a new draft, keeping Wikipedia's neutrality, verifiability, and spam guidelines in mind, you are free to do so.
