Speedy deletion of "DEMOSA"

edit

A page you created, DEMOSA, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. DVdm (talk) 13:34, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sachin Adhikari

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sachin Adhikari, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Sameer.littlemagix. Your edits and username tend to suggest that you are editing on behalf of a client of your firm. Whilst this is not expressly forbidden under Wikipedia policy, there are a number of issue that it raises. In particular, you need to be aware of the conflict of interest guidelines, and should heed the advice in this essay. Promotional editing of any kind is expressly not permitted, and if you continue to add material which promotes your client you will be blocked from editing. Speedy deletion nomination of Mr. Sachin Adhikari

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mr. Sachin Adhikari requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for spamming or advertising. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Yunshui  08:03, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Despite being given ample advice from other editors and myself, you have persisted in trying to recreate a promotional page for your client. As has been repeatedly explained to you, Wikipedia is not a promotional medium. Since your only purpose here appears to be the creation of an unsuitable page extolling Mr Adhikari's virtues, I have reluctantly been obliged to block your account for advertising. Yunshui  08:06, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

The content was sharewith Yunshui for check and balance also the language has been changed to make it non-promotional and objective. I have attached the references of all the third party articles for the same.

These are all published articles in leading newspapers of magazine.

The intention of the article is not PROMOTION but making the information available about Mr.Adhikari. Hence I have just highlighted the positions that he has held or the professional career he has been through.

I think I have not violated any of the policies and kept the content completely neutral.

I request the administrators to kindly point out the exact problem with the article so that I can make the relevant changes.

Like I have highlighted before, I am not getting PAID for creating this but I am one of the many people who have been influenced with Mr.Adhikari and hence creating this article out of sheer respect for him.

Requesting you to kindly consider the same.

Sameer.littlemagix (talk) 08:16, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

If you believe that Sachin adhikari wasn't promotional, you're seriously wrong. The problem is that you can't look at this matter neutrally due to your conflict of interest. Max Semenik (talk) 08:24, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Just to respond briefly to the above, I did indeed review the sandbox content - and told Sameer.littlemagix that it was completely unsuitable... Yunshui  09:25, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Yunshui,

Post your comments and guidelines I have done exactly as you had suggested and redone the article as well. Then I had posted on your talkpage to kindly check the same for any changes. I did not receive any comments from your side for the past 2 days until I actually published the article today.

I am sure you are under no obligation to necessarily give me a feedback on the revised article, but I have actually followed the pattern that you told me and hence was expecting a feedback from you rather than directly blocking me... You can check your talk page for my last update to you on the same

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Sameer.littlemagix (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am not able to get where exactly am I going wrong. Max Semenik mentioned that I am not neutral in because of Conflict of Interest. I have tried from my end, but Mr.Semeniks comment tell me (without any specific pointer) that the content is still promotional. I have referred to other articles from similar personalities from India, for eg. Mr.Shiv Khera and have tried and keep the same tone of article that I was writing. I would request you to kindly unblock me so that I can make a better attempt at writing an article without being biased and at the same time discuss it with administrators and publishing it only once the administrator feels that it is non promotional and nonadvertising or a non-spam material. Kindly allow me to rewrite the same and a chance to rectify the mistakes done. Sameer.littlemagix (talk) 9:35 am, Today (UTC+1)

Accept reason:

See reply to user below. Yunshui  10:13, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sameer.littlemagix, once again, please place unblock requests and any other messages at the bottom of this talkpage. Doing so ensures that readers can easily assess the chronology of the page. Yunshui  09:25, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Yunshui,

Thanks for the indication, Post your comments and guidelines I have done exactly as you had suggested and redone the article as well. Then I had posted on your talkpage to kindly check the same for any changes. I did not receive any comments from your side for the past 2 days until I actually published the article today. Having checked my talkpage history, I see that I did in fact miss that message from you. Nevertheless, the appropriate action on not recieving a response would have been to contact me again, move the page to Articles for creation, as Heather suggested above, or ask another editor for feedback. Moving the page straight to article space was, considering the issues that have been repeatedly raised, profoundly unwise.
Since this means your block was arguably unfair (you're right, I am under no oblilgation to review your sandbox, but I did say that I would), here's what I'm going to do. I'm unblocking you, on the condition that you do not recreate the article in mainspace. I'm also going to recreate the last version of your sandbox as an AFC submission; it will be available at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sachin Adhikari. Feel free to continue editing it there. Other editors, myself included, will review it until either it reaches an acceptable standard and goes "live" or it becomes clear that the inclusion guidelines will not be met. Yunshui  10:13, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dear Yunshui,

Thanks for the unblocking and the response as well. I really apologies for my impatience of creating the article in the mainspace and would make sure that it would happen only post the approvals from the editors.

In the mean while, I believe I would get an intimation if there is something wrong in the article or something needs to be amended.

Thanking you again. Sameer.littlemagix (talk) 10:23, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sachin Adhikari, rewritten

edit

Here is a rewritten version of the page. I still have my doubts about notability, especially since I can't view some of the sources (those I can view are insufficient), but that format should allow for it to appear in article space without immediately attracting a speedy deletion tag. Yunshui  12:12, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Yunshui

Dear Yunshui,

Thanks a ton for helping out. I have made a few minor changes in words and formatting. Kindly check if those are fine and if they fit into the criterion. Request you to kindly put the article in the LIVE space if you find it suitable.

Sameer.littlemagix (talk) 12:49, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Per my message above, I put some time into developing a suitable version of the page (although I still have serious doubts about the sourcing). The current work at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sachin Adhikari is still not even close. I am going to move the rewrite into the AFC page, and leave it for another editor to review.
