Proposed deletion of S/Y Ocean Star edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article S/Y Ocean Star, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ocean Star edit

Hi, Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are interested in ships there is a WikiProject of like-minded editors which you may wish to join. I hope you won't mind my tweaking the article a bit to bring it into line with other ships articles. Mjroots (talk) 19:28, 3 September 2008 (UTC). When creating the Argo page, it would be better to call the article Argo (Yacht) rather than S/Y Argo as the use of the / creates problems by making article talk pages sub pages of other article talk pages - in this case, a sub page of the S article's talk page. You can click on the red link to start editing the Argo article when you want to start it.Mjroots (talk) 10:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of ActionQuest edit

A tag has been placed on ActionQuest requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mission Fleg (talk) 04:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Lifeworks International edit

A tag has been placed on Lifeworks International, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

Proposed deletion of Clarine Nardi Riddle edit

The article Clarine Nardi Riddle has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.    Thorncrag   02:29, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
