Welcome!

edit

Hello, Saileshpai, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!   Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to When Chai Met Toast—because it did not appear constructive. Hey, thanks for the text response and I would like to bring to your attention that this is my band page and I was trying to add the official website link. Saileshpai (talk) 19:02, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to When Chai Met Toast. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Materialscientist (talk) 12:48, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

I would like to inform you that this is my own band page and i am trying to create it and add information, please do not revert the legit changes that i am making.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at When Chai Met Toast. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:40, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

When Chai Met Toast

edit

Hi. I see that you have been trying to make some edits to the article "When Chai Met Toast". I created the article on 11 May 2021 after I found a couple of relevant and reliable references. Everything in the article HAS to be already be present in the references used. Wikipedia can be explained as a summary of reliable sources. If you have any ideas for expanding the article, you can write them over here and I will see if I can help. Remember that everyone here is a volunteer. However there are lots of policies and guidelines that Wikipedia editors follow. If any of these are relevant to the article or the content that you wish to add, I will link and summarize them. One of the first policies I will point out is "Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion" WP:NOTADVOCACY or WP:PROMOTION. Since you have said above that you are a member of this band, please DO NOT edit your own band's page Wikipedia:Editing Your Own Page. You can also place Edit requests on the article talk page Talk:When Chai Met Toast. Cheers. DTM (talk) 10:42, 25 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
