Rams edit

The null edit was to put the names of the players added into the edit summary, so that when searching through the history we can easily find the names if needed.►Chris NelsonHolla! 23:23, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for using edit summaries however do you mind doing something like, "LB Anthony Felder signed", which gives the position and name of the player in the edit summary. Thanks!--Giants27 T/C 01:25, 28 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hey can you stop adding "Pre-draft measureables" because it violates WP:NOT#STATS. Cheers,--Giants27 T/C 02:25, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
And me Chrisjnelson and Yankees10 agreed to not create articles for undrafted free agents unless they make the team so can you please stop until then. Thanks!--Giants27 T/C 02:28, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Howabout a yes and no. I won't do new articles, last one was Cord Parks. But the pre-draft measureables I really copied for other places. There were many, many, before me. But it's just a table and it seems encyclopedic to me. Why is there concern? RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 02:34, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
If you read the policy link I left you'd realize what the problem was it reduces the readability because there's a big table in the middle of the article, however feel free to work it into the article like "NAME scored the highest score of anyone in the 2009 draft class with a perfect score on the Wonderlic Test" that would work, table definetely not. And thanks for stopping don't work about the past ones you created since they might make the team but do realize that the ones that are cut will be put at AfD or prodded. Anyways thanks!--Giants27 T/C 02:39, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well, I can see your point, but don't agree. It is footbaall after all. Sometimes a table can make somehting more readable, not less. It seems like a "I say tomato, you say toMAto" kind of deal, is there are compromise? I really like the tables. I liked the one on Javon Ringer, it's smaller, that would be find with me, but I don't know how to do that. It takes the same table and reduced it is size. Besides, the info is interesting isn't it? Seems the balance between a perception in "readability" and "encyclpoedic information" is a tough one. I don't know the right answer, but it seems very few people object to the tables. However, can we agree to disagree?
On the articles, I agree with you, unless they make a team, then there is no use in making new ones.RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 02:48, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks I actually like the smaller ones not as obtrusive.--Giants27 T/C 18:57, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

My problem edit

My problem is you copy paste info from players bios on the official sites and you make numerous errors which you do not fix. Its getting ridiculous now.--Yankees10 23:19, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, that makes sense.RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 23:23, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Like this? [1]RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 00:07, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
That's a perfect example of what you can do, what your're doing copy/pasting the entire section and changing a few words is not okay. What you can do is look over the section and take bits and pieces (with different wording of course) and put them together to make "your own" info instead of copying it.--Giants27 (t|c|r|s) 01:06, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
There is no such thing as a little bit pregnant. He took it verbatim. I always change it some. When dealing with sports there are sometimes only a few ways you can say things when it has to do with statistics. When it comes to honors and awards, there is limited things that can be said. Also, wouldn't you agree that a article from a newspaper or book or blog or something written by an author is one thing, but information such as statistics, games started, honors, etc. are in school and team websites for the purpose of dissemination and not the same as say a Sports Illustrated article.? A (for example) bio of a player from the University of Nebraska created by the Sports Information Department and a bio for an NFL player is created by the Public Relations Staff . . . they want the infomation out there. Nonetheless, I do try and change the wording, make sure it is reworded as much as possible. But when a guy accuses me of something he does himself, well, that's hypocracy. --Again. there is no such thing as a little bit pregnant. So, I have no problem with you, but I don't need the other guy posting here. He did exactly what he said I did.RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 01:28, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:NFC-Throwback3-Uniform-STL.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:NFC-Throwback3-Uniform-STL.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.  Skier Dude  ►  00:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Be glad to help, but it was just a tweak of an existing PNG file . . . the license should be the same. Just let me know what needs to be done.RussFrancisTE81 (talk) 00:50, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:NFC-Throwback2-Uniform-STL 1972.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:NFC-Throwback2-Uniform-STL 1972.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:12, 3 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
