Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Jtalledo (talk) 23:02, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for disruptive page moves. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Hi, I don't know why I have been blocked, I am new to wikipedia, if I have made a mistake please let me know Robbieranger (talk) 9:15 pm, Today (UTC+1)

Decline reason:

You see the message directly above, where it says you were blocked for disruptive page moves? You know the pages you've been moving, despite being told on more than one occasion to stop? Yeah. That. Unblock request denied because it fails to address (or, for that matter, even recognise) reason for block. Yunshui  20:19, 19 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Yes I did move a couple of pages. One for St James' Park to the correct name, however I have since took that to it's talk page to discuss it so that everyones happy. And I moved the Total Nonstop Action wrestling name to Total Nonstop Action wrestling (TNA) as i thought this would be better to have the initials used in the company in the name. However I got warned for that and now understand that that is not a better name to use. Then hours later after that warning I got banned and I don't know why. You moved St James' Park against consensus, despite the fact that said consensus is readily visible on the article's talkpage. You then proceeded to move Brazil national football team, New York Red Bulls and Liberty Professionals F.C. to new titles which were contrary to the Manual of style and had not been discussed. GiantSnowman notified you at that point that your conduct was disruptive, and warned you that he would take action if you continued. Your response was to accuse him of corruption before blanking the warnings from your talkpage and then moving yet another page to an inappropriate title. GiantSnowman then followed through on his warning and blocked you. Are you now clear on why you were blocked? Yunshui  21:10, 19 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well I do understand that a couple of the moves were unconstructive, however I took the warnings on board and made no more edits after the warning and got blocked. That I don't understand and thats why I think GiantSnowman has just done it for the sake of doing.

If it is the Total Nonstop Action wrestling article, yes I did move that but only to add the frequently used initials (TNA) as I was confident this would be a constructive move. However I got told that it was better with just Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and not Total Nonstop action wrestling (TNA). So I then left the article alone as I was happy with this and was seen as a goodwill edit. In future I will make sure to discuss any changes I feel are worth making with other users on the article talk page before making any edits to avoid something like this happening again as I would like Wikipedia to be a friendly environment for all users. If this were an indefinite-length block, I would ask if you'd agree to refrain from performing any page moves yourself for a period of six months, and instead go through the WP:RM process for any move you feel is necessary. However, this block is only 48 hours, pretty short as they go. I suggest you take a break, enjoy your weekend, come back Monday all freshly unblocked, and be aware that if you continue the behavior that led to your block, you may be facing an indef block next. ~Amatulić (talk) 06:37, 20 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

You've been warned for page move issues before, so page move-related vandalism is, quite frankly, stupid. --Kinu t/c 05:35, 2 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information.   An optimist on the run! 07:18, 2 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

i very much doubt you will be unbanned, you have done things bordering on vandalism before and have a clear biased, but what you done yesterday means your unlikely to get unbanned because it will be a big risk, the only way a admin would unblock you is if you where chaperoned and limited to what you can edit ie a topic ban on anything related to the old firm. If you do come back i hope you respect wikipedia for what it is and not a tool for you to have fun with :(Andrewcrawford (talk - contrib) 16:35, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
