Speedy deletion of "Progressive Democrats of Worcester" edit

A page you created, Progressive Democrats of Worcester, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a club or other organization, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for organizations in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Mifter (talk) 17:55, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've moved the article to a user subpage for you; it's at User:Rkerver/Progressive Democrats of Worcester. Please understand that content on Wikipedia has to meet our notability rules as written; you can work on it in your own userspace if needed, but it isn't entitled to stick around in article space if it doesn't already explain why the topic is notable enough for an article. Fair use rationale for File:GreenNewDealGroup-logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GreenNewDealGroup-logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 16:12, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:GreenNewDealGroup-logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:GreenNewDealGroup-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:46, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Extreme weather event on Cyclone Pam edit

Hey there, I see you keep adding information regarding extreme weather trends to Cyclone Pam's article. While an interesting tidbit of information, it's not entirely relevant to Pam itself. Trends like the one in the source provided are more relevant to multi-year trends rather than a single event. Adding this kind of information to a single event can end up being misleading and detract from the original point brought up.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could cease trying to add the aforementioned info to the article.

Regards, Cyclonebiskit (talk) 15:51, 15 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Disambiguation link notification for June 13 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pelé: Birth of a Legend, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portuguese. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm El cid, el campeador. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Reptilian conspiracy theory, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Disambiguation link notification for October 17 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Shays' Rebellion, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Worcester. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

January 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Gwennie-nyan. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Anocracy, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The source you provided is not sufficient per WP:RS. You've been reverted once. Please discuss on the article talk page before you continue this line of editing. ~Gwennie🐈💬 📋⦆ 19:30, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at 2021 storming of the United States capitol. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. ~Gwennie🐈💬 📋⦆ 19:31, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Discretionary sanctions alert and warning edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Look, you need to start observing the spirit of WP:ONUS, not least when it comes to content that involves a topic area, like WP:AP2, that is covered by the WP:ACDS regime. So, please do better from this point forward. Also, please review the WP:OR policy page closely. Thanks and good luck! El_C 17:58, 28 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:03, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
