COI concern edit

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, attribution, and autobiography.

For more details, please read the Conflict of Interest guideline. Thank you. RJASE1 Talk 14:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

June 2008 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from The White Goddess. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Removal of content edit

Please do not remove sourced content without explanation, as you did recently at International Baait [1] and The White Goddess [2]. Gordonofcartoon (talk) 12:28, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The figures given in the International Baait graph that I have deleted are highly disputed.

No "sourced content" has been removed. Only square brackets have been added to The White Goddess in order to link it with the Wikipedia article on that

RehanQayoom (talk) 23:41, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why are you denying removing sourced content from The White Goddess? The diff [3] clearly shows you did. Doug Weller (talk) 05:14, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
The figures given in the International Baait graph that I have deleted are highly disputed.
They may well be, but the recommended procedure is to use a {{fact}} or {{dubious}} tag and take the issue openly to the Talk page if you have concerns. Gordonofcartoon (talk) 14:46, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Poetic Iconology & the Goddess of Divine Being edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Poetic Iconology & the Goddess of Divine Being, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Karenjc 23:30, 27 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
