Hello, Progress4weegies

Thank you for creating Fairfield, Glasgow.

User:Insertcleverphrasehere, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

This does not seem to be a region in glasgow, but a the name of a single street. I'd cease starting new articles on 'areas of Glasgow for now without better references.

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Insertcleverphrasehere}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

No, Fairfield is historic land that was established by the Barony in the 1700s. BAE systems was built on the land, which is vast and leads up to the wharf and waterside. Ask any person from the region, or any person that lives or works there - they will certainly know what Fairfield is.

It's in songs by Billy Connolly. It was in any Glasgow article to do with Thatcher and industrialisation.

It's was traditionally called salterscroft. Can also be referenced as the Govan shipyards. Please do a Google search on it.

If you could help me add in information, it would be much appreciated.

Areas such as this have been forgotten by Google maps because there is no Wiki.

Any edit I make has been researched.

Farmland and Barony owners of land is what founded Glasgow's labels, neighbourhoods and areas. I live along fro. waerieston. My Grandfather of Mosspark, that being 5 balloch gardens for 40 years called the area "Wearieston" by name.

This is a relevent label to anyone that lives in the community.

Proposed deletion of Sandyford, Glasgow

edit

The article Sandyford, Glasgow has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of existence as a recognised populated place: name of a post office, a hotel, and a sexual medicine clinic but not on OS map.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I'm doing all these stubs in a phone as my laptop broke down, its extensive work that needs done. We need to consolidate the regions of Glasgow as it's showing as fragmented on Google maps I do agree that pages and stubs can't sit empty for lenghtly periods, but if someone is showing to be working in them day-to-day then I don't see the major problem.

Having the articles or page showing as needing work brings people to contribute.

There are far too many people on here that don't actually contribute, but go around undoing other people's work. People subscribed to "new pages" and "list updates" but aren't actually adding to the history.

It makes it difficult for areas like Glasgow to get ahead. We have had full.communites ripped apart by motorways and expressways, and nobody has put the time in to reform the communities. Full areas ripped out for industrialisation and nobody thought to give the communies back their labels there after.

If you aren't willing to help me, please give me a wee bit of leeway or help protect the advancement without other wiping it needlessly. I don't see anyone in GCC doing it and it's protecting our culture.

It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Could you please update the Geo data on Kingston for me? Line the point up with the centre of kingston quay. Re-add the Geo data box. As I said, it has been taken off of Google maps because of this. I believe it might be because Kingston was labelled as being the middle of the motorway. I think it got Kingston, mixed up with Kingston Bridge.

The person that added the Street known as Gallowgate? Is disputing my addition of actual land?
If this gets taken down, your additions do too my friend.
I look forward to showing you the literature as to how areas and neighbourhoods were formed by selling off land in Scotland.
Can I just say, I am employed by those businesses in Langshot to develop their Business district BID. You can go along the units, shops or dwellings at the Langshot area (same with a few other neighbourhoods south of the Clyde. If you actually look at the businesses instead of plodding along on street view, you will realise that a lot of them do have the "Langshot" label. This is pathetic. I really don't think any of you have actually tried. Na
Neighsayers.
I am going to be reporting you all. You haven't even tried. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Progress4weegies (talkcontribs) 5:44, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. I updated my sources. The sources are relevant in Scotland by Scottish land law and Geography. There is nothing to discuss. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Progress4weegies (talkcontribs) 06:03, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Once an AfD discussion has been opened the discussion must be allowed to continue. Your second removal of an AfD template is repeated disruptive editing. If you do anything similar again you will be reported at WP:ANI. PamD 07:48, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Langshot. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete.
