November 2019 edit

Hello Pranabandhu93. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Pranabandhu93. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Pranabandhu93|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 13:02, 15 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Response from User:pranabandhu93 : Although I work with the organisation as a full-time employee, I am neither instructed nor paid to edit or create a Wikipedia page. I have created the page on my sole interest. The organisation I have created i.e. All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology is a not for profit organisation and does not support self-glorification activities through paid promotions. I have given all the credible references for the page. Please let me know further actions I am supposed to do.

Thank you for declaring your connection to the organisation. I have made a declaration for you on the article's talk page here. Please follow the instructions at WP:COI. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 16:29, 17 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Pranabandhu93

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Amkgp and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've proposed an article that you started, All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criteria and I believe that the article obviously and uncontroversially does not belong in an encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Amkgp}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
