The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Sourcing is important

edit

Hi Rohit, welcome to Wikipedia. This edit is not good in the long term, because there is a source there, which might support the old number. When you change content, you need to update the sources as well. In this case, you can copy the source from the other article. Cheers, Kautilya3 (talk) 10:19, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Witch (word), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sorcerer and Sorceress (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:28, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:23, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

February 2020

edit

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage editors. Please see what is not vandalism for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. 2601:243:2200:60E:E454:4F00:A26C:7D42 (talk) 22:13, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Wiki anonymous IP address user for your message at User_talk:Porus_D'Canara. However I must inform you that the edit has been reverted for misusing WP:Anonymity and for WP:Cyberbullying. As for the content erased at Kafir that is "not considered WP:vandalism", the same content will be transferred to appropriate Wiki articles regarding women's rights, Islamic slave trade, and Persecution under Sunni Islamic Caliphates. Porus D'Canara (talk) 08:38, 8 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Kindly suggest Wiki articles for the below content erased from Kafir

I'm unable to find additional articles for you. The number of other articles you insert this material into is up to you. That may just draw more attention to your disruptive editing. My edit summaries have clearly explained the rationale for removal (to which you've merely responded "undoing vandalism" or "undoing vandal"), but in case you'd like it again: Kafir is about the term Kafir. That term is not found in the sources for the text you copied from the other article. Because the article Kafir is about a term, it's not a detailed analysis of non-Muslim rights or lack thereof. 2601:243:2200:60E:AC53:1359:338D:2F8E (talk) 03:57, 9 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

DS Alert

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Refrain from making unexplained WP:POV edits. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 06:08, 28 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
