Welcome! edit

Hello, Pgomezgcb, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Jorge M. Pérez have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

December 2016 edit

Your recent editing history at Jorge M. Pérez shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Additionally some of the content may not be encyclopedic, please discuss on the talk page rather than reverting edits. Chrissymad ❯❯❯ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:45, 23 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2016 edit

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jorge M. Pérez, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia; articles should be written neutrally and based on independent reliable sources. Articles should not be overly glowing résumés for the subject. Also, all material should be cited to sources.C.Fred (talk) 16:08, 27 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Employees have a conflict of interest when writing about their CEO edit

  Hello, Pgomezgcb. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Jorge M. Pérez, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

In this message at my user talk page, you referred to Perez as "our CEO". That indicates that you are an employee of his company and, therefore, have a conflict of interest related to any articles about the company or Perez. Please review the guidelines for editing when you have a COI as well as the guidelines for paid editors.C.Fred (talk) 16:49, 27 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Jorge M. Pérez (June 19) edit

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. Hello Robert, good day. we are trying to update Mr. Perez's profile. When it was originally created in Wikipedia it was really basic. We want to highlight the contributions Mr. Perez has accomplished for our company, city and state. Please approve the submission.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Jorge M. Pérez edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Jorge M. Pérez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from Wikipedia page copy. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Question edit

You wrote, to my talk page: "Good morning, we are attempting to update a stale profile of Mr. Perez. When the wiki was created it was with very basic information. We would like to highlight the work done by Mr. Perez to our community."

Who is "we"? It is very important that you explain who you are representing. One account should consist of one person, and any conflict of interest should be disclosed. I see that the only edits you have made have to do with Mr. Perez. Who is "we", and are you or any of you working for or with Mr. Perez? Robert McClenon (talk) 23:00, 22 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
