Can you add constructions?

Hi I noticed that you added some compass-and-straightedge constructions recently, and while I do like them they are for quite rare constructions, I was wondering could you also add them for the more basic but often used constructions mentioned at Compass-and-straightedge construction#Much used Compass-and-straightedge constructions ( a list I added)

The list is currently:

• Constructing the perpendicular bisector from a segment
• Finding the midpoint of a segment.
• Drawing a perpendicular line from a point to a line.
• Bisecting an angle
• Mirror a point in a line

Hope you also find these not below your standing , but i do think these are the most used constructions (add others when you find that appropriate). WillemienH (talk) 17:28, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Hello again Petrus!

I noticed your message on Talk:257-gon. You are correct, the reference is unreachable. However, I found an archived copy on archive.org. I changed the cite journal template according to these instructions.

Using archive.org is an easy way to find archived copies of webpages or PDF files. Simply copy-paste the URL in the textbox on archive.org (in your case it was: "http://apollonius.math.nthu.edu.tw/d1/ne01/jyt/linkjstor/regular/1.pdf") and press ↵ Enter.

You end up at this page, that contains a calendar. The colored dots on the calendar show you when each archived copy of the page was made. The most recent version that was available was from December 21st.

In this case the URL for the archived version of the PDF is http://web.archive.org/web/20151221113614/http://apollonius.math.nthu.edu.tw/d1/ne01/jyt/linkjstor/regular/1.pdf

Notice how the URL has changed: Archive.org has added "http://web.archive.org/web/" and a date & time in front of the original URL.

Squaring the circle

Thank you for your message. Right now, the diagram is unmotivated and original research. If there is a discussion of the construction on the body of the article (or of approximate constructions), suitably sourced and referenced, and the diagram illustrates the discussion, then it would probably make a great addition. Enneadecagon construction

Hi,

I noticed that you have read through this paper and uploaded constructions of the heptagon and tridecagon using Gleason's methods.
