Orphaned non-free image (Image:Skelleftea AIK logo.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Skelleftea AIK logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 16:23, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:EmpirestrikesbackIntellivision.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:EmpirestrikesbackIntellivision.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:30, 29 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Veckefjärdens Golf Club edit

I have nominated Veckefjärdens Golf Club, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Veckefjärdens Golf Club. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Speedy deletion of Star Wars: The Exhibition edit

A tag has been placed on Star Wars: The Exhibition, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. LegoTech·(t)·(c) 19:30, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Interesting how fast this got deleted, despite the Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion saying that "Before nominating an article for speedy deletion, consider whether it could be improved, reduced to a stub, merged or redirected elsewhere or be handled with some other action short of deletion. If this is possible, speedy deletion is probably inappropriate. Contributors sometimes create articles over several edits, so try to avoid deleting a page too soon after its creation if it appears incomplete."
The article was a stub, but apparently a very shortlived one, I didn't even get a chance to edit it again before it was gone. Plus "blatant advertising"? The article was not written as an advertisement, and it was NPOV, just straight facts were given and no biased opinions whatsoever. I hope user User:Legotech can give me a detailed explanation why he considered it to be "spam" or an advertisement, while there are hundreds if not thousands of similar articles on Wikipedia that are legible?Petey21 (talk) 22:47, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for January 13 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Superserien, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Solna (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
