Roman Dulgarov

Maybe you personally don't find it interesting that I've survived the Baku Pogroms to later become a developer of the world award winning language software, but I would beg the differ that there may be some one that does. I've went from surviving a civil war in Baku, to surviving civil war in Moscow and falling of USSR, to come to US and become a software developer and a hardware designer later on. As I stated before the page was meant to be my auto-biography and as I fly through my memories will be adding details of events and links to events in media I was connected with. You didn't even bother responding to my note. Maybe if you spent two seconds and googled my name you would see I'm pretty involved all over. I don't see where it didn't fall under "Creative Professional" section. Yes you CAN google my name because there is NO other Roman Dulgarov in the world. My name is not john smith .... If you add either rosetta stone or ted5000 you will find my involvement in both as an active developer. My name is in the credits for Rosetta Stone and if you can find anything public about TED5000/Google Power Meter that I either didn't comment on or corrected let me know.

Gary Waddell

I am interested in bringing a page back that you deleted: Gary Waddell

He is a long time news anchor here in Las Vegas, Nevada. A celebrity, if you will, like his "co-star" Paula Francis, who has her own page, or stub. Both are mentioned on their KLAS-TV Wikipedia page, except that Gary Waddell is in RED designating the page can't be found, or in this case, because its been deleted. Respectfully, WaltCD (talk) 12:28, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • The page that I deleted was about a different Gary Waddell (a real estate broker in Atlanta). Feel free to post an article on the news anchor, keeping in mind WP:BIO and WP:V. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 16:20, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Bhavesh Balchandani

I have recreated Bhavesh Balchandani, a page that you deleted, this time with sources to indicate at least enough notability to avoid speedy deletion. Let me know if you agree. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:36, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Marathonbet

Hi NawlinWiki,

You took my original submission for a Marathonbet page down by speedy deletion as you perceived it as spam/advertising. Reading through it, I can see why and I apologise (I'm new here, and perhaps a little too over-enthusaistic). I requested for the page to userfied so I could remove superlatives and erase any suspicion of spam. I have been requested to ask you to go through my latest draft. I'd really appreciate your help and feedback. The draft is located on my userspace right here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Shaunsimmonds/Marathonbet

Thanks again for your patience and guidance,

I look forward to hearing from you,

Parkour panic.

Hi there.

Sorry to bother you, but would you mind having a look at my talk page and offering a third opinion? I have continually requested the editor Black Dragon to stop posting on my talk page, and take his commentary to the Parkour talk page where they would be more appropriate, but he isn't listening.

Thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 21:50, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

No need to. My message has no mention of Parkour, he just thinks it does. The only mention is me saying its not and the quote from the source he said didnt have it. If he doesnt want to reply thats cool but I want him to not reply because he doesnt want to not because "it has Parkour" which it doesnt. So you really have no need to do anything. Just though I would defend myself. Wow the notification upgrade kinda rocksBlackDragon 22:25, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Raghunath Krishna Phadke

Would you consider restoring Raghunath Krishna Phadke? Although sparse on info I think there was enough of a claim of importance that A7 was not met. It should really go through the AfD process if the crux of the deletion argument is notability. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:49, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I saw that the article on Raghunath Krishna Phadke was deleted due to A7. Mr. Phadke was winner of Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award from the Government of India in 1961, as noted in the Wiki article linked to it: Padma_Shri_Awards_(1960–69). Here is another reference from Government of India's website: http://www.mha.nic.in/pdfs/LST-PDAWD.pdf. I hope this is sufficient proof of significance. I request you to restore the article.

Mmavkvba (talk) 18:05, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Restored, I should have looked more carefully. I apologize. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:28, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
With the amount of the CSD/admin workload you take on it's inevitable that something will slip through the cracks once in a while. It's being responsive when it happens that really counts, which is obviously the case here. Cheers, --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:31, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Revolution Brewing

I'm unsure why my page Revolution Brewing was deleted! You sited A7, yet the brewery is a part of Chicago Craft Beer week (information on the website I linked to the page), numerous awards at the Great American Beer Festival, and has won many other awards (http://revbrew.com/about/recognition). Would you please restore? I'll include awards on the page in order to avoid A7!

Kemnoto12 (talk) 21:11, 17 May 2013 (UTC)KemnotoReply

  • I've moved the page to your userspace at User:Kemnoto12/Revolution Brewing for you to work on. Please note that it's not sufficient to cite to the subject's own website as proof of notability. The article needs to cite reliable, *independent* sources, see WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:16, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Derek Holt

is a member of Climax Blues Band and the writer for numerous theme tunes, including those for One False Move and Star Wars: Droids. Please restore to User:Launchballer/Derek Holt.--Launchballer 12:30, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • The entire deleted content was "For information on Derek Holt see www.derekholt.com or www.myspace.com/theofficialderekholt or if your really adventurous look in You Tube type in I Love You Climax Blues Band or Chuck Berry Too much Monkey Business or Leslie West Theme from an imaginary western etc.". You are probably better off starting from scratch. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 12:31, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Then A7 probably wasn't the correct criteria. WP:G11 would have been more appropriate. Could you move User:Launchballer/Couldn't Get It Right to Couldn't Get It Right without leaving a redirect please?--Launchballer 13:21, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

John Daker

I noticed this old DR on Commons: commons:Commons:Deletion requests/File:My name is John Daker.jpg. This is the same clip of the same middle-aged guy speaking that I've seen uploaded by multiple John Daker socks. The user User:Bedpan3 uploaded a painting File:Whitetrashpeg methcouture.jpg, which I've DR nommed. This acct here created the article Peggy Clydesdale, which the painting is used in. I can't be completely sure the acct is JD, but I wonder if the acct needs locking, and creations deleted, etc? INeverCry 02:20, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • Was Bedpan3 the uploader of the "My name is" file? I can't see that anymore because I'm not an admin on Commons. Otherwise, it doesn't really seem to fit, especially given that Bedpan has been editing since 2005 and I don't think Daker has been with us nearly that long. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:27, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, they were the uploader, but the 2005 detail, and the attempts at an actual John Daker article do make it look like a coincidence. I've deleted atleast 5 or 6 of those Daker images on Commons, so this one had me wondering. I've even seen his socks on Wikivoyage. Anyways, the painting is lacking permission, so I'll just leave that DR going on that point alone. INeverCry 02:40, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

May want to look at this

Hi Nawlin. Sorry to bother you out of the blue but I saw through the log that you're on. Can you tell me if this userpage hits any CSD? It screams 'fangirl' but I don't know if it hits CSD. Thanks. MIVP (I Can Help? ◕‿◕) - (Chocolate Cakes) 13:59, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Question

Sorry to bother you, Nawlin, but I was wondering if there's a way to view a deleted page that one of my students created for a class. I'm not asking for it to be undeleted; I'd just like to look at it for grading purposes. Her proposed article was titled Zentangle. Thanks Belcheredit (talk) 22:28, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Protections

Hi there, instead of indefinitely protecting pages, please could you consider putting a expiry time on your protections. This is especially important when you are protecting talk pages. Thank you — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:17, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The only indefinite protections that I have placed recently are on Template talk or Wikipedia talk pages that seem to have no recent edits other than spambots. Is there a particular page on which you'd like to see the protection shortened? NawlinWiki (talk) 20:25, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
The talk pages are exactly the pages I am talking about :) Unless you are planning to go round all these pages in the future and lift the protection when it is no longer required, I would like to ask you to put an expiry on the protections. I don't mind if it is long (e.g. 1 year) but I don't believe they should be indefinitely protected because it excludes unregistered users from participating in discussion. Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:27, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

FROM EIEI hi, about the detail I put about Anne Boleyn.

If you go to TAN Books website and go to their search-page section and type 'The rise and growth of the anglican schism'. You will then see some details about what is in that books. It does point out that Anne Boleyn WAS Henry viii illegitimate daughter.I have read the book too! from CORSAIR III> ta — Preceding unsigned comment added by CORSAIRIII (talkcontribs) 21:45, 24 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Leggings

Can you semi-protect the page Leggings. The Argentinian editor 201.253.192.146 (talk · contribs) has been trolling this page (and some others like Boot, True Love (Pink song), etc.) for the last days. WikiBerry Paradox

I don't understand why you feel that this page is a hoax. I read through the guidelines on hoaxes, and it doesn't seem like a hoax to me. The basic concept is that Wikipedia is itself subject to self-referential paradoxes. Preserving this article should encourage scrutiny of the named numbers, and lead to better information about them.

Brian Meyer(PubMariner)

I'm checking to see why my Train Horns Delivered page was removed so quickly. I thought I made it's notability clear by stating it was focused on the safety use of train horns and not just scaring people, as most other sites and videos are. I posted this information because I wanted to bring notoriety to the only site I could find that used these horns in the manner they were meant for since they were introduced on trains. What can I do to make this better? Pubmariner (talk) 19:28, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Filter 557

..prevented the creation of this page. I presume this is an FP. It's also been reported at the FP page here, I have no idea if this is an FP or not, the edit doesn't look massively constructive. Black Kite (talk) 13:55, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I had been trying to give this filter a more broad search and to limit it to the IPs that this vandal uses, but it doesn't seem to be working right, so I've gone back to the older filter version. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 14:00, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
