Notice of discussion

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. The thread is: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents § Nataev casting aspersions. XAM2175 (T) 18:00, 28 January 2023 (UTC)

Whoa, the effort and time you're putting into this! More than the person whom I originally contacted on their talk page. I believe I've mentioned a couple of times that I stand by my words. Let me repeat it again: I'm not taking my words back and would gladly do it all over again. Nataev talk 18:18, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
I have blocked you for a week for assuming bad faith and incivility. PhilKnight (talk) 19:54, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
Great, thank you. I'm sure this will contribute to addressing enwiki's systemic biases. The person who rejected the draft article on a head of a national academy of sciences - either because he doesn't know the guidelines or is simply racist - hasn't assumed bad faith, obviously. Qosh Tepa Canal

Please don't remove sourced information from the article. This Canal is inside Afghanistan.--39.41.83.108 (talk) 09:19, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

Why do yo mean it's inside Afghanistan? The article literally says it's being built by the Taliban, who rule Afghanistan. Nataev talk 09:26, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Don't worry about which political party is in control of a country. It's where the Amu River is located and who owns the water in it. Uzbekistan was created as a country in 1991 or 92. USSR was defeated and toppled by the Afghans. Why are you removing Afghan news reports?--39.41.83.108 (talk) 09:35, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
What does that have to do with the canal? I'm reverting your edits because you clearly cannot write in a NPOV. Nataev talk 09:43, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
I was just trying to say that the canal is not in Uzbekistan and the Amu River does not belong to Uzbekistan (or the USSR). You're the one who cannot write in a NPOV. You're showing this by removing major Afghan media reports from an Afghanistan-related article, and at the same time you're continuously calling the 10,000s of ordinary construction workers "Taliban". You basically wrote the article as if the canal is an illegal project, and that Uzbekistan will suffer in the future. But Afghanistan is not doing anything illegal, it would have been completed in the 1980s if the past wars had not taken place. And the project is not going to negatively affect Uzbekistan because more water will enter the Amu River in its starting place.--39.41.83.108 (talk) 10:45, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
The article does not say the river belongs to Uzbekistan. I'm reverting your edits, which include both your statements and sources. And speaking of sources, "Scholarly sources and high-quality non-scholarly sources are generally better than news reports for academic topics". State-controlled media, especially ones that are controlled by "a Islamic fundamentalist and Pashtun nationalist militant political movement" like the Taliban, are not reliable at all. Nataev talk 11:09, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
That's your personal biased view, and the current version contains only your pro-Uzbekistan statements. This is an article about a canal in Afghanistan. Such article doesn't require "scholarly sources". Ariana News, Pajhwok Afghan News and TOLOnews are major independent media organizations in the sacred land of Afghanistan, where prostitution, drinking alcohol, eating pork, horse meat, etc., are all prohibited. Sooner or later you'll accept reality that the entire Afghanistan (every ethnic group from every part of the country) is involved in the project because it's a national project that was planned back in the 1970s. You shouldn't expose your personal biased views in Wikipedia because it will be used against you.--39.41.109.224 (talk) 08:18, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
"Sacred land of Afghanistan"? "Prostitution, drinking alcohol, eating pork, horse meat, etc., are all prohibited", but bacha bazi is still widespread to this day. Give me a break. Taking a step back, what does that all have to do with the canal? I'd say you should refrain from editing Wikipedia. You're bound to get yourself banned. Nataev talk 08:31, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
Young man,[1] you've been blocked four (4) times so far,[2] (for edit-warring, sockpuppetry, disruptive editing, topic ban violation, failure to assume good faith and incivility.)[3] Sacred land of Afghanistan = nation controlled by Sharia. Put that to the side, why did you ignore my above comment about the independent national media of Afghanistan?--39.41.109.224 (talk) 11:46, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
I have every right to ignore you altogether. You should be editing the talk page of the relevant article, not my talk page. As for the media publications you listed, none has a reputation for quality journalism or notability and all are literally controlled by an extremist organization that has not been recognized by any single country. And if you haven't noticed, Wikipedia isn't under the jurisdiction of the Taliban and will never be, so you should keep your ideas about Sharia law to yourself. As for the bans, I'm proud of them, especially the last one. The other three helped me grow and learn. Nataev talk 11:56, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
This is called leaving a message on your talk page. It's a common thing editors do before involving other editors. It appears to me that you're against Afghanistan's media and its government. Those Afghan media outlets I listed have millions of international followers, and 40 million Afghans rely upon their daily reports. If you didn't know, Taliban are already present in Kazakhstan.[4] 39.41.109.224 (talk) 18:37, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
As per the talk page guidelines, "discussion should be directed solely toward the improvement of the encyclopedia." So, please keep your ideas about sharia, Taliban, etc. to yourself. I'm not against Afghanistan, but I do have a problem with unreliable sources. And the notability or reliability of publication has little to do with its audience size. Nataev talk 05:06, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
@NataevYou have a point only to completely destroy it them by vandalism. There is a way to include your POV. WITHOUT removing sourced information - especially about the cannal not being a "2022 out-of-the-blue" thing as you keep pretending. A completely random visitor, I have cleaned up the non-NPOV wording you introduced. All that *without* removing (your?) points or any facts. Try to see how this stuff is done. WP is not about how many words you write. It is about how useful those are to inform the others. Including all parties viewpoints. No matter one likes/agrees with them or not.37.48.35.91 (talk) 07:41, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
Good for you! There's no need to rant in broken English about my views or 'my facts'. Just be bold and edit the article. Nataev talk 11:14, 7 September 2023 (UTC)

Category:Schools in Razzaqov

Hello, Nataev,

Category redirects are created differently than article redirects. Please check out the code on this page so, if you need to create another category redirect in the future, you know the code to do so. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:16, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi, Liz! I think you forgot to indicate the link to the code. Nataev talk 10:16, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

CS1 error on Oybek

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Oybek, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 14:46, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Oybek

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Musa Tashmukhamedov a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Certes (talk) 21:39, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Hey there! Thanks for letting me know! I kind of knew about it, but was too lazy to do it properly and create a separate disambig page. I've moved Musa Tashmukhamedov to Oybek (writer) and created a proper disamgig page. Nataev talk 23:08, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
