November 2016 edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Dravidian languages does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Kautilya3 (talk) 09:13, 25 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2016 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Karunanidhi, you may be blocked from editing. —SpacemanSpiff 08:02, 22 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2017 edit

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Telugu language. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Hzh (talk) 01:52, 8 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at M. Karunanidhi‎, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:42, 23 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

March 2019 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Ethinicities are not included in the lead section of Wikipedia atciles, only nationalities are listed. Please do not add that to BLP articles as you have done, see the policy WP:ETHNICITY. Gotitbro (talk) 03:14, 10 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not add the ethnicity of people (in your case "Tamil") to articles. You have already been notified about this, if you continue to do this I'll have to take this to the admins. Gotitbro (talk) 19:25, 15 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Information not supported by cited sources edit

Hey there. I noticed you added some sources to Tamils, but the soures didn't seem to verify the information you added. – Þjarkur (talk) 21:24, 16 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 18 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tamil Nadu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Development (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:08, 18 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

WP:ETHNICITY edit

Before mass-adding content like you've done here and here and here and wherever else you have done this, you should probably be familiar with our various content guidelines. In this case WP:ETHNICITY applies. It says in part, Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless it is relevant to the subject's notability. None of these people are noteworthy specifically being Tamil, they're notable for being filmmakers, musicians, writers, etc. You should not be adding this to the lead. There are other ways to express this information, if necessary, like "who is known for his work in the Tamil-language film industry" or similar, but in the case of Mani Ratnam, that information is already present, so having it a second time is just sloppy and repetitive. Note that the article lead is supposed to quickly summarise what makes a person notable, not get bogged down with other tangential details. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:44, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I also note that the above has already been brought to your attention twice. If you continue to add this irrelevant content, you will likely wind up with your privileges interrupted. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:50, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Suneye1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tamil language, but you didn't provide a reliable source. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Tamil Nadu. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  --Chris | Crazycomputers (talk) 07:03, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

January 2023 edit

Hi Namooru! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Chola dynasty several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Chola dynasty, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Please join the discussion at Talk:Sangam period#Antiquity claims.. Kautilya3 (talk) 23:04, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Talk:Sangam period. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Doug Weller talk 13:38, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
