Hey there, for general Evanescence articles, please stop adding the Wiki-Books template. Since the link is already available in the navigation template, let's keep the Wiki-Books template only on the main Evanescence article. It's just out of place on those general articles. Thank you for expanding this article. I thought the state of the previous "article" was ridiculous and the defense for keeping it was even worse. You've taken an article that had no excuse existing and turned it into a worthy stub that leaves PLENTY of room for expansion and doesn't rely solely on one source only to provide direct quotes.

Citations

Hello My Love is Love, first off, I want to thank you for all the outstanding work you've done in expanding the Evanescence articles, as well as all the other articles you've worked on. One thing I want to point your attention to, though. I've noticed that when you add citations, you usually add the publisher as well. If the "work" field is used, it is rarely necessary or desired to also include the publisher...it is really just visual clutter and redundant, especially in the case of websites and newspapers, where they are primarily identified by their brand name. If you look around at various articles, you'll rarely see the publisher field in use. So, I would encourage you to not worry about the publisher field in the future, except when using the work field is not appropriate for that citation. Also, just allow the work field to remain italicised, rather than trying to force it to not be. Even for website names and urls, allowing the italicisation is perfectly acceptable. Ultratop vs Swedishcharts

Hi there, I saw your edit summary on "Halo". It actually doesn't matter which is used if you are just looking for chart information. Ultratop, Swedishcharts, Austriancharts, Swisscharts, etc. are all pretty much the exact same thing in that regard. Certifications are a different matter as each country has it's own threshold, but in looking at the chart peak and how long it was on there, it doesn't matter which you use. It's often simpler to pick one (I generally just use the generically named "Ultratop", which I believe is the Belgian version), and use it for all of the European charts (and Australia/New Zealand, which are also represented). To tell you frankly, i do not have much of a liking for IASF although my all time favorite song from Beyonce is "Sweet Dreams". I love the SF videos from that era. I mean, i like them but i can stay alive without listening to them for a week while the others, i absolutely have to listen to them once a day at least. It should be in the chart performance section because in terms of sales, 4 is really the eight best selling album of 2011 in the US and the best selling R&B album. No Light, No Light NPOV dispute

Since it appears that you wrote the section about the racism allegations for the No Light, No Light video, I thought I'd write you a friendly not that I've posted an NPOV dispute out it. --164.107.247.116 (talk) 03:38, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Possible dispute suggestion: I am not the person who initially complained about this issue, but I can understand where they are coming from. In reading the article, I believe the statement, "Following the online release of the video, several publications and users on various websites commented on the use of racism and racial imagery due to the black face of the voodoo man at the beginning." is sufficient enough to imply that there has been a controversy regarding potentially racist or insensitive religious imagery.

Choosing to include comments from unofficial sources including comments from viewers of the video tend to show that the article segment is, in fact, one-sided as the comments that are chosen could have easily reflected how the video does not show racist or insensitive content. My suggestion would be to review the article to potentially include official statements from band members, music critics/journalist with referenceable (linkable) content, and remove the comments from racialicious or youtube that were included.

You could choose to leave these comments in, but in fairness comments should also be included to dispute the controversy to allow the reader to see both sides. Or you could remove the unofficial content and just leave the sentence mentioned above to reference the controversy, and leaving the reader to come to their own conclusion. In my opinion, since most/all the content included in the second paragraph of the "References and controversy" is unofficial and comment-based, I think the best course of action would be to delete the rest of the paragraph and leave just the first sentence of that paragraph to reference the controversy.

However, I am just writing this to put more perspective on the issue. I don't feel you portray the artist as harsh racists or insensitive people, so I don't find the stub offensive in any way, and since you are a big contributor to Wikipedia, I don't wish to tell you how to write. If you choose to change the article or not, it is up to you, all I can say is I can understand the previous member's neutrality dispute on this section, and hope you might be able to see it yourself as well. Actually, there are may videos not available in my region. Let me tell you something funny. In my country, people love Beyonce a lot. There was a TV program called Fanta Flava Hits where videos were ranked according to votes. "Halo" stayed at number one for 16 weeks, which means the countdown was not changing since four months. While some people were complaining, others were still voting. Eventually MBC (Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation) had to stop the program. As far as I know the rock band Evanescence was also part of the Epic Records roster from 2003-2009 when Sony Music used to distributed records Wind-Up Records. The DVD itself was not released. That's why it did not chart in Italy. The instrumentals album was released... Argentina and Italy. • Beyonce's team members are reviewing her 60 unreleased songs recorded for 4. Maybe a platinum edition is coming.
• EOT remix competition has received favorable response and the judging panel has been chosen already.
• Beyonce's new website will be released anytime this week.
• According to Diane Warren, Beyonce will most likely close this era with "I Was Here".
• We will have something big this week but no idea what it is going. At least, it has been confirmed something is up.
• A 19 minute long video of RTW is most likely going to leak this year.
