Hi, Mwagner24. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Nauset ball edit

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. See WP:FIRST for an idea of what we're looking for in your first article, Nauset ball. Someone suggested that we delete the article, but I've declined the deletion for now, since I see at least 6 Google hits from school websites that suggest the name and sport is legitimate. I'll have another look later. - Dan Dank55 (push to talk) 20:22, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nauset ball edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nauset ball, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Fails notability. Only 26 Google hits, and none of them meet the standard of significant coverage in reliable independent sources. (In fact, half of them seem to be old cached mentions of the fact that a Nauset ball article was deleted by PROD in 2007.) No mentions in an all-dates search of Google news, either.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Articles for deletion nomination of Nauset ball edit

I have nominated Nauset ball, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nauset ball. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ThaddeusB (talk) 14:30, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fantex edit

The article Fantex has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Without any primary or third party reliable sources this article seems to violate WP:Advertising and WP:Note. I was unable to find additional sources to add to the article. If sources can be found, please add them to the page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Fantex edit

Hello Mwagner24,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Fantex for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 13:54, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fantex edit

The article Fantex has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is an advertisement dressed as an article. There is nothing to distinguish this company from many other similar companies, no evidence of notability, no justification for being the subject of an encyclopedia article. Specifically, the article fails WP:ORG and WP:ARTSPAM
