Featured article candidates

edit

Hi Mr. David R Miller. I saw that you nominated Service Excellence as a Featured Article candidate. Although it looks like you have done a great deal of working in beginning the article, at this time it does not appear to meet the Featured Article Crtieria. Generally, for an article to become a featured article, it should be well-cited to publications that are considered reliable sources. Wikipedia also has its own manual of style that describes how an article should be formatted (it is a very large manual of style). May I suggest that you leave a note at the nomination page withdrawing the nomination? You could then put the article up for peer review, which will help you gain feedback on what would need to be done to prepare the article for Featured Article status. I'd be happy to help you list the article under Peer Review if you need assistance. I hope you enjoy editing here, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Hi Karan. I'm not sure whether I am using this feature correctly but I will explain my problem and would be grateful for advice/help (that's if you pick up on my reasponse). The work is well cited with something like 59 references in the book to external sources from Ambler T to Weber, C.V. Paulk, M.C. Wise, C.J. and Withey, J.W. and including well known authorities such as Beinhocker, Cialdini, Goldratt, Levitt, Peters, Tapsott, and Treacy. The book itself was peer reviewed by respected members of the Bristish Computer Society ( UK based but worldwide professional body for those people working in IT and this was undertaken before they made the decision to publish. The material is certainly there to enable this to meet your criteria but I need to know how to do this without reproducing the whole content of the book on Wikipedia. I figured that the interest and relevance in the longer term would be the new business models, most notably the Service Excellence Model and the New Maturity Model and these at least should have an entry but readers will need to know where to get the detail. Over to you Karanacs. I need help!! Mr David R Miller (talk) 16:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
