July 2020 edit

  Hello, I'm Steel1943. I wanted to let you know that your signature design might cause problems for some readers. This is because your signature is broken between multiple horizontal lines, which causes issues with visually-impaired text readers and breaks discussions per WP:THREAD standards. (I'm referring to the edit you made in Special:Diff/966154554.) If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines and policy on customising signatures. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Roblox Studio edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Roblox Studio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.truedermasa.com/journal/fafc3f-roblox-all-games. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, MrRobloxDev lgjavajr. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Roblox Studio, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 00:21, 10 December 2020 (UTC) (Withdrawn by poster, Elizium23 (talk) 02:40, 10 December 2020 (UTC))Reply

I’m not sure why you say this, because I don’t have any intentions to promote Roblox Studio, nor do I have any relationship with Roblox. I’m very confused at the moment since I have been pretty inactive from Wikipedia. If you can tell me why you sent this, maybe because of something I wrote on my draft, that would be appreciated. MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 01:25, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
I also checked, and it looks like the article is nuetral, so again, I’m very confused. MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 01:34, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
MrRobloxDev lgjavajr, because of your use of the Roblox trademarked name in your username, I assumed you were a developer with the company. Elizium23 (talk) 02:25, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I see. I’m just a fan of the game. Is there something I have to do about it? MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 02:28, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
According to my reading of WP:ORGNAME, it is not per se against policy just to have a company name in your username, but it may be misleading to others in the way I was misled. If you are ok with that kind of occasional hassle, I do not see a reason for you to change it. Elizium23 (talk) 02:39, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’ll be ok with it :) Thanks for the heads up! MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 02:48, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

However, is there a way I can put that in my article without disrupting it? Maybe something in the talk page or an invisible comment? Also, can the COI tag be removed now? Thank you! MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 02:51, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

MrRobloxDev lgjavajr, I wouldn't worry about the article. You will probably want to put a note on your user page, User:MrRobloxDev lgjavajr, and just declare "I have no affiliation with Roblox Coporation and I am just an enthusiastic user." or something to that effect. The COI tag is gone already, I removed it when I struck the notice. Elizium23 (talk) 03:37, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok then! Thank you! MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 03:44, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

MrRobloxDev lgjavajr, I am not sure what you mean by "COI tag". I disabled the category, this user talk page is not in the category at all. I have triple-checked that. Elizium23 (talk) 00:49, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

So, I just checked, and it seems that the COI tag is still there, are you sure you removed it? It could be some error with my account if you did remove it.

I guess I should have been more specific. I was talking about the tag on Draft:Roblox Studio. MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 02:09, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

MrRobloxDev lgjavajr, oh yeah, in all honesty, I entirely forgot I dropped that tag on the article. It's removed. Rest easy my friend! Elizium23 (talk) 02:11, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! You too’ MrRobloxDev lgjavajr (talk) 02:17, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
