Mac and Rachel edit

Nothing personal, but I redirected your article to Another World, because there was more coverage at the main article, and I don't think it deserved a separate one because of that, and the fact that Mac and Rachel were not deemed an official "supercouple," so I removed the link from "supercouple." Not every successful couple equals "supercouple." Mike H. That's hot 02:12, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Who gets to define who is a supercouple? Many print sources that are reliable, that's who! Please read WP:Civility and WP:DICK. I was trying to be nice but obviously you don't like that. Mike H. That's hot 04:38, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think as of late, Soap Opera Digest will name any couple a supercouple. I think it then comes to us to decide who is and who isn't, and I'm not that optimistic that they are one. Mike H. That's hot 06:24, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm just trying to be helpful. Read the WP:Civility link I gave you earlier. Mike H. That's hot 06:45, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
For what it's worth, though, I'm all for redirecting John and Marlena to Days of our Lives and Jamie and Babe to All My Children, because I think neither are supercouples. Mike H. That's hot 06:55, 22 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Request for edit summary edit

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 5% for major edits and 0% for minor edits. (Based on the last 117 major and 0 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 20:31, 2 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mac and Rachel edit

Read this edit summary: # (cur) (last) 21:36, March 3, 2006 Mike Halterman (read the talk page. If this article were expanded I'd be in favor of keeping it, but not if it's going to spout off the same information we ALREADY HAVE on the AW page).

I am not in favor of having a separate article on them if everything, almost word-for-word, can be found in the parent article. Mike H. That's hot 21:38, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have placed the Mac and Rachel article on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Mike H. That's hot 21:43, 3 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring edit

Hi, it's come to my attention that you're acting disruptively by edit warring on Mac and Rachel Cory. As you don't seem to be responding to reasonable attempts to communicate, I'm going to take the administrative action of restoring that page to a previous version and protecting it from further edits. If you want to argue for the retention of the version that you favor, please do so at either Talk:Mac and Rachel Cory or Another World (TV series). --Tony Sidaway 01:21, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Mario m. cuomo.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mario m. cuomo.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Kola Boof edit

I am a little puzzled by the series of edits you have made to the Kola Boof article, as they seem to consist either of reverting out recently added sections or restoring text that has recently been edited out as part of the article's ongoing editing/upgrading, many if not most of which include language with POV issues or that is simply non-encyclopedic. I encourage you to to continue working toward improving the article, but to do so in conjunction with other editors by making greater use of the Talk page. One specific element that seems to be disappearing as a result of these edits is the use of language specifying that many elements of Boof's story rely wholly on her own claims and allegations; with so little well-sourced information on this person, these caveats are important under WP:BLP.Robertissimo 02:22, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the article has substantial sourcing and writing problems, but it has been steadily improving, not least because of reduced input from sockpuppets who appear to be connected to Boof's publisher or even the subject herself. However, I don't think the solution the article's quality issues is bulk-removal of sections and restoration of older text of generally even lesser quality. The major problem with virtually all of Boof's claims is that they eventually source back only to her and have little if no external verifiability, and the article reflects that. Robertissimo 03:28, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

And by the way, I think your latest edit is spot-on! Bravo. Robertissimo 03:30, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Stanton3.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Stanton3.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Image:Stanton3.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Stanton3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. Commercial use of Image:1a28e4c7-95de-4fa5-8b8e-cc0ea06cb0ee.jpg edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:1a28e4c7-95de-4fa5-8b8e-cc0ea06cb0ee.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:1a28e4c7-95de-4fa5-8b8e-cc0ea06cb0ee.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:1a28e4c7-95de-4fa5-8b8e-cc0ea06cb0ee.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Use of team logos in the NBA Finals articles edit

The use of logos in the NBA finals articles does not comply with the Fair Use policy WP:FUC. It is crystal clear that these logos do not comply with the #10c criteria: The image or media description page contains the following: ... The name of each article (a link to the articles is recommended as well) in which fair use is claimed for the item, and a separate fair-use rationale for each use of the item, as explained at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. The rationale is presented in clear, plain language, and is relevant to each use.. The fair use rationale provided for these logos is only for their corresponding team articles. And I doubt the use on the final pages meets the criteria #8, but that is perhaps debatable. --Kildor (talk) 08:48, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article Kirk Cousins has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable (yet). Just a backup quarterback so far. If he gets the starting job he MAY meet notability standards.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 04:21, 8 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello MrKing84! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 938 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Christopher Douglas edit

Just a qucik note to say Christopher Douglas could not have been born in 1969 because he appeared in the Onedin Line in the late seventies portraying a character no younger than twenty, so it would likely be 1959.

--Marker10 (talk) 14:46, 1 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

You must be thinking of some other Christopher Douglas because there is no way this one (the soap opera actor) could have been born in 1959. He was in is early 20s when he was on One Life To Live in the early 1990s. Plus the imdb says this Christopher Douglas was born in 1969.

You're showing serious signs of disruptive editing, specifically with your "I don't have to" attitude. Please see the closure, which contains warnings for both parties. The next one of you who adds, removes or changes Kyle's last name in either direction, Jenkins or Abbott, without first getting a talk page consensus, may be blocked.
