[main text deleted. Upshot: I hadn't provided a sufficient fair-use rationale for the image. Now fixed.]

Welcome! edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. You have only been here a few days, but already earned your first award. Well done you. Rockpocket 08:01, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

  The Bearnstar of Comic Poetry

I wanted to award you a barnstar for making me laugh, but unfortunately it was eaten by a bear. Rockpocket 08:01, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

ZOMG! My first barnstar! And on my birthday too!! :D --Monorail Cat 08:08, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

You are very welcome, and belated happy birthday too. For pages like the Ref Desk, its always better to link to the diff because when the page gets archived at the end of the week the comment will move, but the diff remains the same. Rockpocket 08:23, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
She has every right to be afraid, you do know that the CIA run Wikipedia, right? Well that poem set off our terror scanners (who'd have thought that "Vicky, Wiki, picky" is an Al-Qaeda code?) and now you are on the Rouge admin hit list... Rockpocket 09:00, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Aww man! And here I was all ready with my Spiderman costume and geared up to climb the Reichstag tomorrow, as well! Guess I'm never going to get away with that one now. --Monorail Cat 09:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Black Lamp edit

G'day Monorail Cat, Just replying to your message. I tagged the article because it is unreferenced (also uncategorized). You need to go read what it says at WP:V. I don't need to add any "citation needed" tags because you don't even have a "References" section as yet. That was my main concern so if you can clean that up it would be great. Just to quote a bit of what is said at WP:V "The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged should be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation.[1] The source should be cited clearly and precisely to enable readers to find the text that supports the article content in question. If no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it." If you're looking for how to write citations see Wikipedia:Citing sources. Cheers, Sting_au Talk 10:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Looks much better eh? Now just need to find a category or two? Atari games maybe? I used to have an Atari St many years ago! Sting_au Talk 11:05, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Heh. Working on categories right now. Just trying to find the correct category for 'Atari 8-bit' by rummaging through related WP articles. --Monorail Cat 11:06, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah! found it - category:"Atari 8-bit family games" --Monorail Cat 11:07, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Archipelagos titlescreen.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Archipelagos titlescreen.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:10, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
