Dear MoonlightVector, would you be so kind as to give me a few pointers how to improve on the article please? I know Finland is a tiny country on a global scale and is mostly unknown (with Finno-Ungarian language no one understands) but it would be great to have more articles in English being accessible to wider audience about our new generation of influencers. I am trying to figure out how to make a more extensive info-box manually but having problems creating sub headings inside of it and custom names like | artist_name = entry, or something to outline statistics | active_followers = 1.4 mil doesn’t seem to work. I assume there is a list of pre-set headings that can be used in manual edit? Also I am trying to figure out how to place a profile picture into the info box via Wiki Commons. 🙏 Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Mikael Mikmil (talk) 17:42, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Will do. MoonlightVectorTalk page 17:43, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you S0091 for your comment, it’s very useful feedback. I will try find 3 sources that have more significant coverage. Rather difficult in Finland but I’ll try digging around more. Mostly the articles are from national newspapers and interviews in national media and TV generally. P.S. when you say significant coverage, what is a benchmark? Can particularities of a finland be taken into account, considering it’s a very conservative country with very modest media coverage in general?

Your connection to this subject?

edit

In IRC chat you mentioned that you have no connection to this subject, and that your motivation to write this draft came from a cultural discussion with colleagues at UEF. You told me that you had no direct connection with this person. I notice that you uploaded an image of Pasha Pozdinakova which you marked as your own work. It appears to be a professionally taken photograph. Can you kindly account for this discrepancy? Salimfadhley (talk) 09:36, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Salim, as I mentioned before Finland is a small country and pretty much everyone knows each other (Small World concept, also known as seven steps to Kevin Bacon) This is a screenshot from my mobile of a photo taken by Kristina Suzi, a professional photographer, who used to study in UEF (University of Eastern Finland) in marketing in sales. She gave me permission to take a screenshot, since it’s free image for public use. I then cropped it and used it as my own version. By laws of EU and Finland, verbal agreement is legally binding. If you require written confirmation I can try get it or course. Do you have any Finnish or Swedish Reviewers at Wiki by the way? Mikmil (talk) 11:34, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why did you claim that the photograph was your own work if it was not your own work? Can you see how these inconsistencies in your public statements create a perception of dishonesty. Earlier on you claimed not to know this person and now you are claiming that you do know this person because "Finland is a small country", so please say for the record which is it? --Salimfadhley (talk) 12:25, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dear Salim,

Can you kindly read my messages more carefully, since it gives an impression that you quickly skim through my messages and not paying attention to what I write. Then you personally state that I’m a dishonest person based on that, turning it into a personal attack. Considering that my employment is in a medical sector, infection control and endo-prothesis, I find it extremely offence as it undermines my integrity as a specialist and a human being. I know the Photographer, as I have written earlier, Kristina Suzi, since we studied in same university, where there are 20 people per masters degree class. City is called Kuopio in Finland a city with 100,000 total people population, hence reference to a small world concept. This photographer took some photos for public use a while back of MissParaskeva, hence it was the best way to get the sample photo, to contact Kristina the photographer and asked to get a public sample. I made a photo of this sample with my and cropped the face and with applied color filter on my laptop as per instructions given by Wiki. In any case I wrote an email to the photographer to send email to wiki commons that she approves of me cropping the image. As I mentioned before Finland is a tiny country and many aspects that are normal in largely populated countries are very different here and vice versa. Even our President uses public transport and drinks at local bars with common people. For general purpose it might be interesting to read about us as a Nation so that what I say makes more sense. Hence I was asking if there is a Finnish or Swedish moderator.

In any case. I have temporary stopped doing this article, since it ended up being more stress than fun. Maybe best that I write this article in Finnish and Swedish languages first. Mikmil (talk) 13:15, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

P.S. here is a page from Norway (our neighbour) https://fi.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triana_Iglesias

Mikmil (talk) 13:19, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
I think it would be a good idea to stop working on this article. I'm sorry you feel upset, but I'm afraid based on the criteria we use here, your actions have been dishonest. On Wikimedia commons you upload artwork and stated that it was your own work. As you have just revealed, it is not your own work. Previously you said you had no connection with this subject, and now you reveal that you are close friends with the subject's photographer. I personally do not care about your personal life or work, but you came seeking help and you were less than perfectly truthful with you answers. That bothers me. --Salimfadhley (talk) 16:06, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Salim, yes I am being upset because you are twisting my words to push your own agenda and making assumptions. Do explain how being an acquaintance of a photographer (not being a friend I might add) puts me in a personal connection to the subject of an article? Please do explain? Kind to provide legal text that outline this international law and regulations, preferably EU ones. Since assumptions which you use is exactly that. As from my the point of you it is you who is twisting the matter, without understanding the cultural dynamics of a particular country. By your logic there should be nothing coming out of “Iceland” as a country in a same way. Also by very same logic every citizen of Finland directly knows the President of the country. Further more you have turned it into a direct action against me on a personal level by calling me a liar pretty much, also noticed just now that your comment included reference to my writing style being “peacocking”.

Kindly do refer me to Wiki customer service/complaint and legal department, as I do want to talk to a human operator representative to see if this a common culture of communication in Wiki Foundation - either in US or EU. Also kindly refer me to a moderator from Northern Europe, preferably Scandinavia. Good day Sir! Mikmil (talk) 17:16, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you believe you have been treated unfairly, please feel free to make a report here Wikipedia:Contact us. Salimfadhley (talk) 17:39, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Salim, maybe I over-reacted - apologies if I came across rude and offended you in some manner. Felt my words have been misinterpreted or misunderstood, as a result it came across as me being targeted. Most likely my shortcoming in not explaining myself clearly and shortly enough. I was looking for advise on how to improve on this as I did understand it would take months of trial and error. I will follow your advise and take a break from this. Thank you for your assistance, feedback and help. KR Mikael Mikmil (talk) 21:12, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
