Mikey, you don't have to "contact" Dweller; you have already "contacted" him by responding to his posts, whether here (on your page), or on my talk page, or you can post directly to his talk page at User talk:Dweller. Edits to Wikipedia articles are discussed on article talk pages. If you would notice Talk:Venezuela, you will see that the reasoning for my edit is given there, as well as links to the article where your content can be added, although it is mostly already covered (May 2007 RCTV protests). Perhaps you weren't aware that there was already an existing article covering the topic? I am going to add a welcome template to the top of your talk page here, to help orient you better to Wiki. How can I add my content to another page if you have deleted it?

And it's debatable whether or not it's history.

For visitors to the main Venezuela page - who know little about Venezuela - the end of 53 years of a national television broadcaster, the demise of a national institution, IS a historical event, and should be recorded as such - if nothing else, a mention and a link to the other page.

Mikey, it is convention on talk pages on Wikipedia to sign your posts by adding four tildes (~~~~) after your entries. Also, article edits are discussed on article talk pages, rather than individual editor's pages. If you'll notice at Talk:Venezuela, there is a discussion of why I edited your text (restoring several other edits that were deleted in between your edits), and a copy of your text, corrected for errors in WP:FN and WP:DASH. As to whether you should add the text to the other article—May 2007 RCTV protests—I think you'll find that it's mostly already covered there. Current events aren't usually included in the History section of country articles, and a link to the current event article has been provided in the Venezuela article. I hope this answers all your questions. I'm sorry you paid for content to source an edit, when most of the sourcing is already done at May 2007 RCTV protests. Also, I thought I'd let you know that typing in all caps is considered hollering on the internet, and is viewed as rude, so I've removed the all caps from your posts to my talk page. Also, you don't need to start a new topic every time you reply on my talk page. Hi Mikey. Appreciate your confusion/annoyance. We were all new to Wikipedia once. Let me start by telling you that your contribution is not "deleted". It's still there, in the article history. SandyGeorgia and you are having a "content dispute", where two (or more) editors disagree about text in an article. The way to settle content disputes is to put the two sides of the dispute at the article talk page and wait for other editors to agree/disagree. Hi Mikey. I appreciate that you may not like the way Wikipedia is run... when I was new, I found some of it bizarre. SandyGeorgia's not responsible for creating Wikipedia's policies, so there's no need to sound off against that editor. I strongly urge you to work with the other editors at Talk:Venezuela. However, please remember to keep civil in your discussions - it would be a shame if an admin found it necessary to block your account because you became heated. And a strong piece of advice from a well-meaning admin... stop posting to SandyGeorgia's talk page unless there's a specific reason you need to contact him/her. Mikey, you and I share a concern about the importance and significance of Chávez's actions with respect to the closure of RCTV. I hope you will discuss the best way to incorporate this information into Wikipedia on the talk page of the article at Talk:Venezuela so that consensus can be reached with other editors.
