Hello, I'm Austronesier. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kawahla people, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Austronesier (talk) 16:02, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kawahla people, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. R Prazeres (talk) 00:09, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kawahla people. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ~~

"They were close neighbors with the Blemmyes"? And that is besides all the other problems: poor writing, unverified, overlinking, lack of explanation... Drmies (talk) 04:05, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Cushi. Drmies (talk) 04:07, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is not English and contributes nothing to the article. I'll give a few extra minutes to either stop this behaviour or explain yourself. You've already been given a final warning. R Prazeres (talk) 04:13, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
The word 'Cush' originates from the Kingdom of Kush. I can provide numerous sources to support this Metaphysics34 (talk) 04:44, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Drmies (talk) 04:20, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

You don't seem to listen to anyone, and you don't seem to have much concerns for our guidelines and policies--which, here, boil down to "write proper English content verified by reliable secondary sources". Oh and this: "don't edit war". So I have no choice but to block you, at least temporarily, to prevent further disruption and to give you a bit of time to learn and think about what this project is and how it works. The truth will spread with or without Wikipedia Metaphysics34 (talk) 04:31, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Juhayn tribe is a Qatahni Arab tribe, not an African tribe. It would be incorrect to classify it as an African ethnicity Metaphysics34 (talk) 04:42, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Are you under the impression that your mastery of the English language is superlative? Metaphysics34 (talk) 04:47, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
What is this, Facebook? Insulting me isn't going to change anything. You had plenty of time to argue your case on the talk page, or present actual evidence. Drmies (talk) 13:23, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I never insulted you; you mentioned my English on an edit I didn't even write fully Metaphysics34 (talk) 14:26, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
First, let me explain the evidence: The Kawhala tribe entered East Sudan and occupied the entire eastern region. They then moved northward into the northern part of Nubia, which is known today as southern Egypt, occupying that territory as well. Evidence supporting this includes the presence of the Abdda, a sub-branch of the Kawhala tribe, in northern Nubia. Notably, the Kawhala tribe is the largest in Sudan in terms of numbers.
It is likely that the Kawhala tribe mixed with the Blemmyes as they occupied the eastern part of Sudan. Evidence suggests that they came from the Hejaz region to Sudan via the Red Sea. As they ventured further into Sudan, they encountered another Arab kingdom established by the Juhyana tribe, a Qatahni Arab tribe. Interaction with the Nubians was inevitable, leading to mixing between them. Some members of the tribe moved southward and mixed with the Nuba people.
Apologies for being unprofessional yesterday. Metaphysics34 (talk) 14:38, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks--I'm glad I'm finding you in a better mood today. Here's the thing. You may well be right--who knows? I don't, and I won't learn until you provide the necessary secondary sourcing. When you do, make your case on the article talk page. It's complicated because Juhaynah is not a great article though I doubt anyone would dispute their Arab ancestry--but the bigger problem I see is the sentence changed and reverted in this edit, and yes, both sentences are clunky. But again, all this needs sourcing, of course, which User:User:R Prazeres recognized in this edit. You're just not going to make friends or progress unless you provide sourcing, and explain, in edit summaries, what you are doing. We all want these articles to be better, so please, if you have the sourcing, present it on the talk page and invite your fellow editors. L'union fait la force. I unblocked you, but please don't go back to the war. Drmies (talk) 16:28, 23 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to restrain myself from editing on Wikipedia until I have my sources and can link them. Metaphysics34 (talk) 03:29, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
