Hello, I'm JPxG. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Economy of Kolkata—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. jp×g 03:52, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I am an employee of the Indian Ministry of Finance. I know the exact GDP of Kolkata. According to the Ministry of Finance, the GDP of Kolkata is 47 billion US dollars.I have edited the GDP of Kolkata with correct information. But the people of Kolkata are wrongly editing Wikipedia to increase their GDP.So quickly edit Kolkata's GDP with 47 billion.

Your recent editing history at Economy of Kolkata shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —C.Fred (talk) 12:39, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Economy of Kolkata) for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —C.Fred (talk) 12:46, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I am editing with the correct information. But MADdutta Editing incorrectly. I am an employee of the Ministry of Finance of India. I know the exact information. Kolkata's GDP is 48 billion US dollars in 2020. Please unblock my ID. Please, please, please, please unblock my ID. Meltry Filok (talk) 12:51, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for disclosing that you are a paid editor. However, that does not relieve you of the requirement to cite published reliable sources for the edits you make.
Given your conflict of interest, it may be better if you not edit any articles related to finance in India directly; instead, request your changes on the talk page by using the {{Request edit}} template. —C.Fred (talk) 12:55, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please , Please , Please 🙏🙏 unblock my account .I edit with the right information. According to the data published by the Ministry of Finance of India, I edit. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Finance of India in 2020, the GDP of Kolkata is 48 billion US dollars. But MADdutta Editing incorrectly. Please unblock my ID. So you concede that there are no published sources to back your claims up? —C.Fred (talk) 12:59, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Published in regional newspapers of India, but no other source. Meltry Filok (talk) 13:01, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

With all due respect, it seems a little beyond belief that the national ministry would publish its data only in regional newspapers. I find myself with increasing doubts about your claims as a result of reading these latest messages. —C.Fred (talk) 13:03, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Kolkata's GDP is 47 billion US dollars. I respectfully request you to edit the GDP of Kolkata at 47 billion. Unblock my ID. Ronjon Das Gupta (talk) 13:42, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Ronjon Das Gupta: Your account is not blocked, nor are you exempt from providing reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 15:13, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at West Bengal, you may be blocked from editing. defcon5 (talk) 16:09, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

As I stated in WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#West Bengal economy articles, I am not seeking sanctions against you for your edits to the West Bengal economy articles. However, I am concerned about a broader pattern of editing at these articles, so I have asked for additional administrators to review the situation. I am obliged, however, to let you know that I mentioned you in the thread. —C.Fred (talk) 13:34, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I came to the new Wikipedia. Didn't understand much, so I got blocked editing. I am very sorry for that. Now I know the rules of Wikipedia. From now on, I will write the correct information with reference to Wikipedia. Unblock me. Please unblock my IP address. Please unblock my ID.

Decline reason:

Don't worry about your IP address, it will be unblocked when this account is unblocked. This request does not address your use of multiple accounts. You don't need to know every rule of Wikipedia to be able to edit(I don't know them all and I've been here for 10 years and am an administrator) and I doubt you've read every rule, but you do need to respond when others inform you of the rules. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 06:52, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

When I came to the new Wikipedia, I didn't understand much. As a result, I opened multiple accounts on Wikipedia. I am very sorry for that.My IP address was first blocked on Wikipedia because of my mistake. I am very sorry for my mistake. I know a lot of Wikipedia rules now.It was a crime for me to open multiple accounts, which I now understand, and I'm so sorry for that.If I could be unblocked now, I would never make that mistake again. From then on, I will always edit Wikipedia with references. Please unblock my IP address.I was new then so I made a mistake. I am very sorry for that. Please, please, unblock my IP address. I will not make any more mistakes in the future.

Decline reason:

Make your request with your original account. Your multiple unblock requests are further evidence that you should remain blocked.q Yamla (talk) 12:42, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
