  Hello, Mariapaulafn1, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Repj (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Widefox; talk 23:12, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Web3 Foundation. Wikipedia is not a trade directory. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Widefox; talk 23:20, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Hello Widefox; talk , this is Mariapaulafn1, apologies for all the confusion. As a matter of fact, I have two users due to the fact that I was trying to translate a page OmiseGO. And the guide before the beta version said I had to login from the Spanish version, so I thought I had to make a new username, apologies. I would be happy to close one of them, I'll check my edits and see which one has made the least contributions and close it (its either mariapaulafn or mariapaulafn1) Apologies for the noob mistake. That said, I do talk to Repj (talk · contribs) he is a volunteer to the Web3 foundation and had trouble getting his article approved and since I started editing before him, and got approved, I offered him to try to make his article better. I can guarantee this was not for commercial use. Apologies and I will fix the edits pointed out tomorrow, or delete them. Thank you. User:Mariapaulafn1; talk 23:29, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Mariapaulafn1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I don't understand your connection with the other editor. Please see and abide by WP:COI and disclose any connections with subjects here. Coordinating edits (or just performing edits given by others, which misrepresents authorship/copyright as well) with others isn't (normally) allowed, so please see the relevant guidelines.   Hello, Widefox (talk · contribs). Thank you for your message. I have disclosed on a previous communication I sent you that this user was made by me, by mistake, when I misinterpreted the translation guidelines - I thought I had to create a separate user to use the Spanish wikipedia - I will directly delete it, as I am using this one, but I have been unable to find the answer to only one question: does deleting the user also delete the contributions? Because I would have to evaluate, if this is the case, where I made the most relevant contributions. My sincere apologies, this is definitely not a case of "sockpuppetery" but only caused by my lack of experience as a first timer on wikipedia. Please allow me 48hs to have the time to check this and I will fix it, I have absolutely no intentions on infringing the guidelines and I can confirm this double-user confusion is not an attempt of using one as sockpuppet. Thank you. User:Mariapaulafn1; talk 16:37, 8 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mariapaulafn. Thank you.
