Speedy deletion nomination of Inder (surname) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Inder (surname) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Images of AJ Dixon edit

Hi ManoftheNorth. Thank you for your contributions to AJ Dixon. I'm concerned about the images that you uploaded to Commons on that subject. You claim that all these images are your own work but that's only possible if you are the oldest person on the planet or if you were 3 years old when you took the photos. Note that scanning a published photograph does not make it your own work. I'd suggest changing the info on Commons to ackknowledge the actual source of the pictures and to make sure that these images truly are in the public domain. This might result in the deletion of some of these images but Commons is rather strict about copyright issues. Cheers, Pichpich (talk) 21:24, 16 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Katherine East edit

Hi ManoftheNorth. Thank you for your contributions to Katherine East, Northern Territory, here [1]. I notice that you inserted an external link to Casuarina Street School. As per WP:EL external links should not be used in the body of an article and in some cases. Sometimes, linking directly to a business or organisation's website in this way can be considered promotional content (WP:PROMO) by other editors and result in your work being reverted. I've edited the article to remove this link. Sometimes, wikipedia policies can be very confusing and there are so many that no editor can possibly know them all, so just wanted to give you a friendly heads up why I made this change. I have also changed the name back to Casuarina Street Primary School, because although the school is considered "independent", this doesn't appear in the name of the school, even on their own website and since it's still actually a government school, it might be misleading without further explanation. Thanks. Dfadden (talk) 02:06, 10 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
